What You Can Expect

Best of Barbados Tour

Swim with the turtles

After being picked up from your Barbados hotel, meet your guide and small group of up to 12 people, and set out to the island’s East Coast. After a quick stop to take in the views from Bathsheba beach, visit Welchman Hall Gully, where you’ll enjoy a guided tour of the rainforest and have chance to spot wild Green Monkeys in their natural environment.

Continue to Harrison's Cave, a magnificent underground cavern formed out of crystallized limestone. Ride the purpose-built tramway through the caves, passing cascading waterfalls, emerald-green lagoons, and a dramatic array of stalagmites and stalactites.

Head back to the West Coast for lunch (included) and tuck into delicious Caribbean cuisine at the Pirates Cove restaurant, located right on the beachfront. After some free time to relax and enjoy the beach, set out on a scenic boat cruise around Carlisle bay. While on-board, keep a look out for sea turtles and other marine life, then prepare for a thrilling wildlife encounter.

After a safety briefing and instruction on how to swim around the turtles, dive into the ocean to swim and enjoy a closer look at the wild sea turtles. Swimming will be accompanied by a guide at all times, and there will be no contact or interaction with the sea turtles to ensure that their natural environment is not disturbed.

After returning to shore, your driver will be waiting to take you back to your hotel.

Please note: Beach loungers, washrooms, and freshwater showers are provided at Pirates Cove – please bring your swimsuit and beach towels.

We took this tour with a group of 6 and it was definitely a group favorite. This must be a popular tour as the bus was full. The tour guide was informative and entertaining. The ride through the cave was enjoyable. The walk through the rain forest at Welchman Hall Gully was beautiful...we saw only one monkey but the scenery was well worth the visit. The view at Bathsheba Beach is amazing. And the snorkeling at the end of the trip was more fun than anticipated. I enjoyed seeing the wreck. All-in-all a fun filled day. The tour company worked hard to make sure we were all comfortable.

If you are a fan of swimming with turtles or hanging out with tortoises, this is a one of a kind experience for you! A friendly driver circumnavigated the entire country of us with multiple stops to scenic destinations on both coasts...this trip is highly advised.

Our driver was very knowledgeable of the island and it's history. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wishes to see the island. Harrison Caves were fantastic. The water, from storms out in the Atlantic, were murky on the day we took the tour. Our driver knew we wouldn't be able to snorkel with the turtles and have a good view so he set us up for 2 days later to finish that part of the tour. This, in my book, is going beyond what is expected and the 4 of us were very impressed with his efforts. It was fantastic to have the turtles swim around us and the water had clear up quite a bit by then. I almost gave the tour 4 stars because everything I read about the wildlife reserve was to make sure to be there at feeding time around 2 PM. This is when the monkeys would come in and all the deer and other wildlife would gather up for a great picture taking experience. We ended up at the park around 10 am. Although we did see some monkeys, the part I was looking forward to most, most were moving around just outside the fences and deep in the trees. With that said I would recommended this tour to everyone.
