Walking was not difficult and well worth the climb to get into the chapel and hear their famous boys choir.
If you want to enjoy the Monastery and its surrounds, I suggest you take the tour on its own and with more time to spend at the Monastery.

Sagrada and Montserrat were fabulous things to see. Miguel, our tour guide was the best. Ask for him if you choose this tour. Be careful with your belongings. Pickpockets are everywhere.

Disappointing Day

Prior to this tour, we've had excellent experience with tours booked through Viator. This one was disappointing. Due to circumstances beyond our guide's control, we were picked up late, but the 2 main attractions were rushed - we had no free time in Montserrat and absolutely not enough time at La Sagrada Familia. Very upsetting. We rushed through the interior, no time to get a final viewing of the exterior or visit the gift shop, even briefly. Too much time in Tibidabo. I sat in the back of the van and it was hard to hear the guide. She drove by several Gaudi houses and we had to ask to get out to see them. Our guide was very kind and upset that several things happened that made it difficult for our day, but it was a disappointing tour for us.

Matt was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable, kind and fun. We were picked up on time at our hotel. He managed the languages of an Argentinian couple and us three Americans flawlessly. His recommendation of a cafe for lunch was excellent. What a lovely day we had with him!

What an experience!!! I’ve always wanted to visit these historic sites and to have Pablo lead our experience made this memorable. His knowledge, professionalism and genuine interest in our getting the most was most appreciated. We (Pam and I) noticed the small things and built a strong bond with him. The sites came alive in part to his delivery in all aspects of the trip. He’s a keeper and one to duplicate if possible Thanks for the adventure. We will certainly share this information with family and friends who plan to visit Barcelona!!!

We absolutely loved Montserrat. Simply amazing. Sagrada Familia was a surprise. Everything looks so new. Bacilica and area also very interesting. Thx to Tao, our guide, who was very knowledgeable. Only point I would make it that although it is nice to have a hotel pick-up, when it’s over an hour to pick up all the customers, it does get tiring. However, on the plus side, we saw far more of Barcelona than we thought we would. The company is good to deal with. We sent an email and they responded quickly. As well, tour guide Tao sent us a text the day before the tour with suggestions of clothing & pickup time.

Barcelona is so beautiful and our guide was wonderful! Sagrada familia was spectacular. Wish we’d driven by more of the gaudi architecture. Highly recommend! Small group is the way to go!

Teo was a very friendly knowledgeable and fun guide! He catered to all our requests and questions with a lot of enthusiasm and made it a fun filled and educational experience. He gave us recommendations for lunch and dinner which turned out to be great restaurants. Overall a fun and great day trip to Sagrada and Montesserat with Teo.
