Why Travelers Choose This Tour

A full-day adventure that covers both the best of Barcelona and the ruggedly spectacular Montserrat pilgrimage site! Limited to a dozen people, it's our only Barcelona sightseeing tour that includes hotel pickup.
Climb aboard your air-conditioned minivan at your Barcelona hotel or cruise port, and ascend the incline of Montjuic, a 755-foot (230-meter) hill that affords spectacular views of the city harbor. Stop to explore the Anella Olímpica, and enjoy the panoramic vistas from its hilltop perch as you venture to Montjuic Castle, a stolid structure with ancient origins.

Next, visit one of the city’s most spectacular structures; famed for its Gothic grandeur and architectural eccentricity, La Sagrada Familia is hailed as Antoni Gaudi’s modernist masterpiece. Capture fabulous photographs outside, and then admire the exterior of Casa Batlló. Stroll the sophisticated shopping strip of Passeig de Gracia, and marvel at landmarks such as Casa Amataller and Casa Morera before heading to Gaudi’s Park Güell. Sail past the long lines at the crowded entrance, and then follow your guide on an exploration of one of the world’s most impressive public spaces.

Sample some sublime Spanish specialties in a local restaurant (own expense), and then return to your minibus to enjoy the scenic journey to Montserrat, the rugged mountain that forms the centerpiece of Spain’s first national park. Wander past fascinating flora and fauna, and immerse yourself in the religious splendor of Montserrat Monastery.

Relax during the return journey back to your Barcelona hotel or cruise port, where the tour concludes.

You can't ask for a much better tour guide than Simona who has wealth of knowledge. She kept the tour more interesting and fun because of her wit.Luis was a excellent driver too.

Recently took a tour of Montserrat and Barcelona with Marta as our tour guide. One word: Excellent!!

Disappointed in the tour overall. To begin the day, we get a call 60 minutes before our scheduled pickup at our hotel telling us that a Taxi will be there to pickup and take us to a different hotel for pickup. This alternative pickup by itself wasn't so bad until we are dropped off at the new designated hotel location, where the hotel knew nothing of any such tour. Confusing and frustrating.

Our tour guide as not very helpful and did not navigate the tour well. Difficult to understand and the information she provided was not accurate. When asking questions or seeking clarification, she was unable to assist. It was a long painful day that could have been spent much more pleasant with another tour and or tour guide.

Consider mindfully this tour.

Very disappointing.
Tour guide was friendly but no introductions
Instructions were unclear (llunch/toilet stops)
Very little commentary provided - directed mainly to front, unable to be heard in back
Too little time at Park Guell
Many sights not visible from car during quick drive past

I highly recommend this tour. I always take a tour in a vacation spot I've never been to familiarize myself with the area, famous spots and to avoid the lines. The tour guide, Elena is truly fantastic! She spoke clearly, has lots of energy, polite, friendly, courteous and a joy to be around. We spent eight hours on a Sunday, July 29th on a mini-tour bus with a total of 13 tourists (not including bus driver and Elena). It was an exciting experience and I would do it all over again in a heart beat!
Thank you!

An excellent overview of the town and country. Highly recommended.

The best parts of this tour were the places we visited and our warm, very knowledgeable guide who took very good care of us. All that was wanting was spending a little extra time on Montserrat; we could have used another half hour or so.

For being an 8-hour tour of Barcelona, I didn't get much out of this at all. Every location we went to felt extremely rushed. Our tour guide wasn't knowledgeable. The description of this tour states Next, visit one of the citys most spectacular structures famed for its Gothic grandeur and architectural eccentricity, La Sagrada Familia is hailed as Antoni Gaudis modernist masterpiece. Which is INCREDIBLY misleading. We literally walked up to La Sagrada Familia and looked at it for about 5 minutes before we were hiking back to the van. I learned more about Gaudi from a fellow tourist who had visited the city before and had obviously chosen a much better tour.

The view at Montserrat was the only noteworthy thing about this entire day. However, the journeys up and down the mountain were actually terrifying, flying past other tour buses along the way.

We planned our short visit to Barcelona around this day-long tour, and it was a complete waste of time and money. Disappointing doesn't even begin to describe this experience.

Martha is a fantastic tour guide and very knowledgeable. We are in a small group of twelve in a comfortable van. The tour was very organized and highly recommended. It is a must to see tour, before we board the Crown Princess Cruise Ship.
