What You Can Expect

Barcelona and Montserrat Tour with Skip-the-Line Park Güell Entry

See La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona!

Climb aboard your air-conditioned minivan at your Barcelona hotel or cruise port, and ascend the incline of Montjuic, a 755-foot (230-meter) hill that affords spectacular views of the city harbor. Stop to explore the Anella Olímpica, and enjoy the panoramic vistas from its hilltop perch as you venture to Montjuic Castle, a stolid structure with ancient origins.

Next, visit one of the city’s most spectacular structures; famed for its Gothic grandeur and architectural eccentricity, La Sagrada Familia is hailed as Antoni Gaudi’s modernist masterpiece. Capture fabulous photographs outside, and then admire the exterior of Casa Batlló. Stroll the sophisticated shopping strip of Passeig de Gracia, and marvel at landmarks such as Casa Amataller and Casa Morera before heading to Gaudi’s Park Güell. Sail past the long lines at the crowded entrance, and then follow your guide on an exploration of one of the world’s most impressive public spaces.

Sample some sublime Spanish specialties in a local restaurant (own expense), and then return to your minibus to enjoy the scenic journey to Montserrat, the rugged mountain that forms the centerpiece of Spain’s first national park. Wander past fascinating flora and fauna, and immerse yourself in the religious splendor of Montserrat Monastery.

Relax during the return journey back to your Barcelona hotel or cruise port, where the tour concludes.

I highly recommend this tour. I always take a tour in a vacation spot I've never been to familiarize myself with the area, famous spots and to avoid the lines. The tour guide, Elena is truly fantastic! She spoke clearly, has lots of energy, polite, friendly, courteous and a joy to be around. We spent eight hours on a Sunday, July 29th on a mini-tour bus with a total of 13 tourists (not including bus driver and Elena). It was an exciting experience and I would do it all over again in a heart beat!
Thank you!

Martha is a fantastic tour guide and very knowledgeable. We are in a small group of twelve in a comfortable van. The tour was very organized and highly recommended. It is a must to see tour, before we board the Crown Princess Cruise Ship.

Marta was the best guide we had on our entire trip. Very Knowledgeable, Patient, And just very friendly. Willing to answer questions and even take our pictures when asked. Both of these tour sights were awesome. With lots of great pictures and history. Had plenty of time to enjoy everything. We were picked up at our hotel and dropped off there as well. She would have dropped us off anywhere of our choice within a certain area but we chose our hotel. This was our first tour of an 18 night vacation. Sure wish all of our guides would have been this good. Thanks Marta

A very good overview of the city, including frequent examples of Gaudi's architecture, with a the tour and time for wandering through the Park Güell, clearly showing Guadi's influence. This was following by an outstanding side trip to the Montserrat Monastery located high in the mountains, a destination for Christians pilgrimages, with its awe-inspiring basilica, in which we were able to listen to the boys' choir prior to the afternoon mass. The tour guide and driver were the best! When I lost my phone, they offered repeatedly to help me file a police report, which I knew would be fruitless. Our driver found it on the bus after his day of tour-driving was over and actually delivered it to me at the hotel. It doesn't get more special than that.
