We went on a city tour with our guide Vincente. Together with a first class driver he showed us the most important sights of the city, informed us about the history and gave us practical tips. His english was excellent and his knowledge was beyond all expectations. We felt very safe being led through the city and weren’t bored for a minute thanks to Vincentes incredible talent in bringing the city to life.
Karles did a good job with our tour under difficult circumstances. Our tour was scheduled the morning that the judge issued sentences for the protest leaders. It made getting around more difficult, but also in some ways made the tour more interesting. Karles our tour guide was very heavily invested in the cause of the protesters, so while providing us information about Barcelona he also gave some political context. Also as a result of the protests, it seemed like it might be impossible to get us out to Sagrada Familia, but Karles managed to find a way. Once there he said it would be impossible for him to get us back, but he took us into the metro and made sure we got our tickets and were able to find our way back to the cruise ship. Barcelona is a lovely city and we thoroughly enjoyed our tour and would recommend this tour.
Our guide Marco Chiaperitto is friendly and knowledgeable in the history of Barcelona. He took care of us and gave us comprehensive information on every stop. Love to have him again when we come next time.
The tour was bilingual with English and Spanish. Half of the time we were listening to the guide speak in Spanish. Also, the guide was just OK - not very engaged. The Rick Steves guided walk is much better.
Very pleased with this tour and our guide Germanic. He went out of his way to accommodate everyone’s special needs. He was a native of Barcelona and was able to impart his love of the city and it’s people. Very knowledgeable and personable.
