Girona and costa bravo are breathtaking, guide offered a lot of game of throne facts. Wonderful tour, lunch was a delicious authentic Spanish cuisine! Enrique was an awesome guide!
This trip by far was the highlight of our Barcelona trip. The guide is full of history and on the way to Girona, he was giving us insight info on castles we saw on the way. We had our small children they do not watch GOT so while he was showing us where parts of the show were filmed, he managed to give my kids history of the town. He bought all of us ice cream Sir Jamie Lannister's hand from the local shop, and it was the best popsicle ever! Once the tour was over, he took us to this hole in the wall restaurant, THE best meal we had in Barcelona. You won't be disappointed
Enrique was amazing! He was so fun and it was such a bonus that we got to go to a great little place for lunch and see an additional castle!
This tour was great! Our tour guide Sergio was professional, knowledgeable and funny. Girona is a beautiful medieval town, a must see. We visited Braavo and King's Landing film location and then we were treated to a delicious ice cream. Next lunch to Blanes for great food and another stop on the way back. I have great memories of this day and I will definitely go back to Spain. I have told all my co-workers who travel that they must book their tours thru Viator. Well organized and great tour guide.
Great information and amazing tour but the lunch fabulous!! I am quite impressed.
I never leave reviews, but I went to barcelona for a week and this was the highlight loved every second and the guide was great too!
My wife and I could not have been my pleased.
Our guide Enrique was perfection.
Well organized, perfect English, knowledgeable about what our tour was to do and see and a pleasure to have as our guide.
He was exceptionally well versed about just about anything else asked of him.
As for food, the local restaurant he picked in the Costa Brava area was beyond description, lets just say 5 stars would sum it up best.
Not only is your belly full, your palate is provided with everything it desires to be satisfied.
Don't hesitate to book this tour if you are a Game of Thrones fan or just someone that wishes to see a medieval wealthy city within striking distance from Barcelona.
It a must do trip.
I loved this tour for many reason, but here are the top 4: 1 You get to explore the beautiful town of Girona and see the many sites of the city as you've never seen them before 2 As a fan of GOT, you get the film locations related to you in ways you have seen them on the show 3 You already have something in common with the tour group which makes for wonderful conversations over a delicious lunch and as you wander through the town 4 Sergio was the best tour guide I've ever had, period. I would do this tour again.
This was so much fun! Our guide, Sergio, was awesome. He was personable, knowledgable, funny and easy going. We did and saw so much, the pace was perfect. We walked all over Girona, taking breaks when necessary. one break involved a special surprise! Sergio pointed out all the sets sites used in the filming of GOT , using photos from the show to help us remember, telling us interesting stories about why Girona was chosen for shooting and gave us ample time for photos. He took us to a wonderful lunch and then on to another beautiful Girona landmark. Whether or not you are a GOT fan, this tour is well worth it!!!
This was a great tour. Even if you are not a super big Game of Thrones fan, the sights and trip was great. We were new tourists to Spain. Sergio was our tour guide and was GREAT! Ask for Sergio.
Knowledgeable and very nice tour guide also provided us with many recommendations for food and activities while we were in Barcelona beautiful tour through Girona with a special treat that was delicious lunch was one of our best and most authentic meals in Barcelona. Would suggest this tour to any GoT lover even if you're not caught up.
Our tour guide, Stephen, was incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and provided such an interactive day! Girona was spectacular, and the lunch experience was the best we had on our 12-day trip. I’ve been on many tours, and this was
one of the best.
This tour did not disappoint us, Sergio was a great tour guide and very knowledgeable about Girona and Game of Thrones. You do not need to be a GOT fan to enjoy this lovely medieval city. Small guided tours are so much better than larger ones, well worth the additional cost. It took us approximately 1.5 hours to drive from Barcelona, Sergio was a very capable driver. We were able to have a quick break upon arrival for coffee and a bathroom break, then we began the tour. He gave us in-depth knowledge of Girona as we went along and then provided pictures from the GOT shows to illustrate the changes they made to film the different scenes. He liskes to quiz you on different locations so come prepared. As a GOT fan it was a great day for me. Be sure to ask to get some of the specially created GOT ice cream at the end of your tour. After Girona we traveled to Blanes to have a fantastic traditional Spanish lunch. The restaurant was family run, they offered us a variety of foods and Sergio showed us how to prepare the traditional tomato and bread tapa. I really enjoyed that he joined us for lunch and we got to get to know him better, this makes for a much more personalized tour. After lunch we toured a local castle and then returned to Barcelona. The meeting point in Barcelona was right by the Palau de la Musica, very easy to access. I would highly recommend this tour.
Amazing tour, such yummy food for lunch, and probably one of the best tour guides I’ve ever experienced. A must-do, must see tour even if you have no interest Game of Thrones.

Girona is beautiful and our guide, Sergio, was a pleasure. Very funny and professional! The lunch was delicious and fun to interact with fellow travelers. The trip to the castle afterwards was a treat as well, including the ladder climb to get some great views. I highly recommend this trip!
it was a great tour and the tour guide was amazing. this tour also included a lunch in costa brava which was delicious we then proceeded to a see a castle from the 10th century. it is a long tour but definitely worth it . Girona is a very old city with beautiful narrow alleyways. as for the GOT references they are from season 6 and it is highly recommended for GOT fans.
Such a great day - our tour guide Enrique was excellent. We had a fun visit to Girona, where Enrique showed us the sites where different scenes were filmed, with accompanying pictures from the actual show. He also added commentary about the history of Spain and Girona. It is definitely worth taking the tour, as some of these places would be difficult to find on your own. We also had a fantastic lunch in Costa Brava along with a visit to a medieval castle with great views of Costa Brava. My daughter and I loved the day and highly recommend the tour!

Girona was such a beautiful city and the meal that we were provided with unbelievable. It was in a small cafe and was the equivalent of a seven course meal. We did not eat the rest of the day. The trip as enhanced but the expertise of our guide. His knowledge and passion for what he was doing made the trip even more interesting. He knew all about the city and the cafe, and his props and pics from Thrones were a major plus in the interest of the trip.
Another very informed and picturesque tour from Viator, a great follow up or precursor to the Game of Thrones tour.
We did 5 tours with Viator over the 8 days we spent in Barcelona , 4 with tour guides and one without the Cordobes Flamenco night which we also highly recommend. The medieval village tour , Monserrat , the Game of Thrones tour. Our guides were all excellent , very fluent and well educated on there tour subject material . Marta ,Vincente , Arno, and Loria all did a great job looking after their relevant tour groups .
Enrique was a fun and friendly tour guide. The tour was a must for any Game of Thrones fan because you get to see the places from the show and remember the scenes. The ice cream was a delicious treat and the perfect end of the tour. The restaurant we went to for lunch was a delicious culinary experience. We also had time to go to stop at Castillo de San Joan which was simply breathtaking.
Sergio was a fantastic tour guide. He was fun, friendly, articulate and engaging. The restaurant lunch was one of the best, we have had in Spain. It was the best tour we had taken and totally worth the money.
