Great tour. Awesome sites. Knowledgable staff.
This was a wonderful trip to a gorgeous and historic part of Spain. Our guide, Paul, was informative and friendly. I particularly appreciated his patience with me, as I had some physical limitations that slowed the group down a bit. It was a fabulous day all around.
Incredible Girona was everything we hoped it would be. Great history, beautiful buildings and the links to GOT ensured there was something for everyone. We finished our day on the Costa Brava in an idyllic seaside setting. Passionate, knowledgeable guides and a small group made for a memorable day.
Paul did a fantastic job. He arrived to our hotel on time, was friendly and accommodating. The tour was beautiful, a must see if you have a free day while in Barcelona. Paul suggested a local restaurant in Girona for lunch and it was unbelievably delicious!! : My only suggestion for this trip is that, it would have been nice to have more free time in Girona and Costa Brava as we did not have much time at either place to venture out on our own - none at Girona and maybe 30 minutes in Costa Brava, perhaps limiting the walking as a group in Girona would have helped, but it was truly an amazing trip overall!! :
would highly recommend
Absolutely enjoyed the ride, sights, walks, food and ambiance! Great way to see a place with Miguel our guide. He was very understanding and accommodating to everyone's needs. At the same time, he maximized the amount we could see in the given time duration.
Karl-Jaime did a teriffic job! We had six people on our tour. Karl was very knowledgeable since he is a native and loves the area.
Girona was the highlight of the trip. We are interested in the history of towns and buildings and this was a goldmine. Karl knew of the use of the town for Game of Thrones and described the uses in the series, but he was just as knowledgeable of the true history of the buildings and people who lived there.
We stopped for lunch at a restaurant on the beach. We didn't otherwise have time at the beach even to take a few pictures, though there are certainly more interesting parts of the coast so that wasn't a big deal.
We made a short stop at a medieval town that had been restored and build new in the old style. While it was interesting to see, there wasn't real historical interest.
The stop at the coast was very nice. The small village fishing village has obviously expanded a bit for tourists but was still in a very picturesque cove with beautiful buildings along the shore and up the hills.
Worth it and interesting. It was a very small group of people which made it very easy and comfortable throughout the whole tour. Our guide was attentive, knowledgeable, and patient. We had already visited Barcelona before but had never seen the places that we visited on this trip. Fortunately, the weather was pleasant and we had absolutely no rain at all. As always, we remained glad to book this tour with Viator as we usually do.
Andre, our guide was amazing! He picked us up at exactly the time he said he would arrive at our hotel, and gave quality information and commentary throughout the day. Andre has a passion for sharing his wealth and a depth of knowledge. Andre is one of the best tour guides that we have ever had. Girona is beautiful and filled with history and architecture. Costa Brava is breathtaking. Our lunch stop was at a fabulous restaurant and at the end of the tour Andre returned us to our hotel.
Our guide Vincente was truly amazing, providing us with detailed information on all aspects of the tour. Even to the point of booking a seat in a Restaurant on the beach to ensure we didnt miss out
