Head to a spot near Barcelona’s La Sagrada Familia and begin your tour with an interior visit to the cathedral. The brainchild of Gaudí, La Sagrada Familia is a Gothic masterpiece with sky-piercing turrets and vaulted ceilings that frame its Latin cross aisles. Learn about its architectural highlights as you explore, and then visit the on-site museum to learn about Gaudí himself.
Later, continue to Torres Bellesguard, a lesser-known but equally lavish example of Gaudí’s flamboyant design. Set in the foothills of the Tibidabo mountain, the slate-and-stone house was built like a medieval castle, resplendent with Gaudí’s signature features from mosaics to stained-glass windows. Interestingly enough, one part of the house is still occupied by the Guilera family.
When your tour ends, head to the terrace or gardens and finish with a charcuterie-style brunch with wine in the Torres Bellesguard grounds. Read the Itinerary for more detailed brunch info.
