Also, bring a warm jacket as it gets really cold up there.
Also all restaurants close early so if hungry grab some food before going off on your own.
Expensive,its mainly the bus trsnsportation and guide spesks both Spsnish and English so you have to listen to both.

Our Guide was very informative and extremely helpful. Bus was very comfortable.. Cog wheel train was a nice touch. Area was beautiful and the buildings were stunning.
Ear bud headphones were provided but as I wear hearing aids these weren't suitable for me, I would prefer another type of headphone.

The location was fantastic and beautiful. Definitely worth the half day trip outside Barcelona. However, the tour however, felt we paid for essentially a coach bus for transport. Got minimal information from the tour guide where we felt we were in a very historical and monumental area.

Montserrat is a wonderful place to visit, with so much to see and learn. However, the guide insisted we needed to start the visit with a visit to the shop and liquor tasting that lasted a long time. He did not explain anything about the history of the place and kept talking about the liquor tasting. It is really a waste of time to take this tour. If you want to visit this wonderful place take another tour.
