Your walking tour starts at the Drassanes metro station to meet your private guide, who shares information about Barcelona's history, culture, and lore throughout your experience.
Wander along La Rambla, and learn about the life and works of Antoni Gaudí as you pass by Palau Güell and Plaça Reial. Visit one of the oldest xurrerias (churro shops) in the city for a bite of this favorite doughy snack (any drinks are at your own expense), and then continue to Casa de la Ciutat, Palau de la Generalitat, and Catedral de Barcelona, known for its Gothic architecture.
Next, make your way to the site of the Roman city walls, and walk through Barceloneta, a historical neighborhood, where you'll hear how the 1992 Olympics transformed the area. Visit the medieval quarter of El Born, see Santa Maria del Mar, visit a perfume shop, and check out Palau de la Musica. Then end your tour at the Urquinaona metro station, where you'll say goodbye to your guide.
