Start the day with pickup between 8:30am and 9:30am; the exact departure time can be tailored to your schedule. From Barcelona, travel to Salvador Dalí’s birthplace in the small town of Figueres, an 86-mile (138-km) trip towards the French border.
Stroll through the town with your guide, visiting a series of markers that memorialize the artist’s childhood haunts and favorite places. Continue into his work in the Dalí Theatre-Museum, which the artist designed in the ruins of the old municipal theater, and is considered the largest surrealistic object in the world.
Leave Figueres for the Costa Brava, and visit the town of Cadaqués where Salvador Dalí lived and worked for much of his adult life. In nearby Port Lligat, tour the Portlligat House-Museum, a series of fishermen’s cottages that the artist renovated and connected. Following your visit to the artist’s former home, begin the return trip to Barcelona, where this tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel.
Please note: The visit to the Portlligat House-Museum is subject to availability, and bookings may be limited in high season. If no tickets are available, you’ll have the option to make an alternative trip to the Gala-Dalí Castle of Púbol.
