Trip is fun and enjoyable. We had a nice tour guide sorry forgot his name- tour was on 1/2/18, speaks English well.
Thanks for great day in one of the fabulous places on earth.
Great day with beautiful views. My partner really enjoyed the three hour hike up the mountain while I took the more leisurely route on the train. Market in Vic was interesting but not really items I would purchase so we had coffee and pastries at a local bakery. Little towns we visited were quaint and interesting. Great tour guide!
The tour guide was great! Very knowledgeable and friendly. The destination was also incredible. I would recommend this to anyone unless you're not a fan of walking/hiking!
This was a wonderful day trip, visiting the Pyrenees along with walks around Vic and Querabls. Gloria ( and driver, Andres) was our awesome guide and she was so knowledgeable, helpful, and positive. It was my 2nd time in Barcelna but my 1st time on this tour. I’d definitely recommend this tour!
Really nice. Our guide, Anna, was oustanding.Hiking is as much or little as you want
Our guide was very good. We enjoyed the small group experience and going inland away from the large city.
Our tour was serviced by Explore Catalunya and this tour company made the experience worthwhile by giving us the best tour guide ever, Steven. He is full of knowledge, funny and always on hand to give recommendations on other things to do in Barcelona, best restaurants etc. The Pyrenees mountains was beautiful. Nice short hike and tour of small town was awesome.
We recommend this tour for people who love the outdoors.
The tour was fantastic. Laura, our guide was fun and well versed in the history of all the places we stopped at. I was glad that we had ample time to grab a quick bite and pick up lunch in the market at Vic. She showed us the right places to pick up the best bakery products. The best part of the trip was Nuria Valley. The weather here was pleasant and didn't necessitate any warm clothing since we were in August. The views are magnificent with the lake amidst lush greens. We chose to go by the rack railway upto Nuria valley instead of hiking up the hills which was an option. Once at the lake you can take the cable car further up till the cafe or just relax down here soaking in the incredible beauty of this place. If in Spain, you shouldn't miss the Pyrenees mountains. I'm glad I did it. I wish I had more time to spend here but whatever we explored was totally worth it. Though I would surely hike my way up the next time I'm here as some of my group members had amazing experiences to share. Highly recommended tour.
This was our favorite part of our trip to Spain. We got to see a whole other part of the country right outside of Barcelona. The views were spectacular and we only wish we had more time to spend in the mountains. The food that we picked up in the town of Vic was delicious.
This was one of the best things I did outside of the city of Barcelona. Just make sure that you visit when Vic has their market day as I don't think the stop there would be worth it if it wasn't for the time we got to peruse the market and buy picnic lunch supplies. There also is no access to restrooms for a couple of hours which for some of us can be an issue. Once you arrive at the mountain, they do say you can hike up to the top or take the cog train. Three people opted for the hike and it was VERY tough even for those who were very physically fit to do in the 2 hour time allotted. The area at the top with the gondolas and lake is spectacular but actually hiking trails are more limited. The guide was very fun and knowledgeable of the area. Would definitely recommend this trip.
This tour was amazing and the views were breathtaking. Our guide Ana is amazing as well. She was very warm and even suggested the most beautiful trail to hike as well. Definately recommend this tour. Thank you Ana for the wonderful day!!
This experience was fantastic! It was wonderful to get out of the city for a day, and our guide Laura made it even better. She was so knowledgeable about everywhere we stopped, and had such informational and insightful answers to all our questions. Stopping in Vic was so quaint and I loved getting a look at real life in Catalunya. And of course driving up into the Pyrenees mountains provided magical views and a chance to see the great outdoors. I would highly recommend this trip!
The views were incredible if you love to take pictures this is the place to go. The tour guide was brilliant due to it being a small group it made the trip even better. Unfortunately we didn't spend too much time at the mountains would have loved to have the extra one hour.

We know that returning to Spain will likely not happen as there are many places in the world we want to visit, so we decided that a day trip into the Pyrenees was a must for us. Our tour guide did an outstanding job describing details at every point along the way. The stop in Vic on the way there was nice where we enjoyed coffee and pastries. We packed our own lunch which we enjoyed after taking the ski lift tram to the top. The views are magnificent. We were there in August and the temperatures were very comfortable - no jackets needed that day. We wish we could have spent another two hours there which would have given us time to visit the top and boat around the lake.
We really enjoyed this trip. We had a very lovely, sunny day. The countryside is so beautiful. Our tour guide was very good and we had a wonderful day!
I really enjoyed this tour, especially the free time to hike in the Pyrenees. We saw waterfalls, cows, marmots, and a chamois. In the town of Vic we saw the big church which had great paintings all over the walls and the old stone bridge. In Querables the tour guide walked us all over town. I would have rather have had some more free time there. It was a unique looking place in a great setting.
It was a most perfect day and the views of the Pyrenees were SPECTACULAR! Definately worth the day trip. We loved that it was a small group trip- it was easy to hear the guide and follow what was going on. Our guide had many handy hints and much information for us so we felt we really got our money's worth on this trip.
The free time we had at the top of the mountain were well spent and we enjoyed relaxing and looking at the views. We bought our own picnic lunch under the direction of our guide and it was a very good idea- eating a baguette with fresh local cheese and salami in the mountains-it was amazing!
VERY MUCH WORTH THE TRIP!
One of the best tours out of Barcelona. amazing scenery. our guide exceptional person with plenty of information. vall de Nuria a Paradise. It was a sunny day so we had the opportunity to walk on the tails up around the hills.
I'm not sure how we managed to get the best guide in Barcelona, but Laura was absolutely fantastic! It was less like a guided tour and more like a friend from another country showing us her homeland. She is incredibly warm and friendly. Not only did we speak of the surrounding areas with their histories, but she was more than willing to discuss cultural similarities and differences as well as the intricacies of Spanish life. The trip is beautiful, the ride was pleasant, Vic was interesting, the train ride was great, and the Nuria Valley is by itself worth the cost of the trip if you have any interest in hiking and enjoying pristine mountain views. Highly recommend. And if you happen to get Laura as your guide, then you will undoubtedly be pleased with your experience.
This was such an amazing experience. Highly recommended it. The mountains were beautiful. It would have been nice to spend a little more time there, but so worth it!! The views are so beautiful. Our guide Camillo was wonderful. So very happy We did this! Plus my 2nd proposed here, so now it is even more special to us
Best moment of my whole vacation! This trip to the Pyrenees shouldn and #39;t be missed. Our guide Feliciano was fantastic. He was widely knowledgeable in the history of the places we visited, with his smooth and fun delivery enriches our experience even more.
This was an amazing day trip! There was the perfect amount of things to do, so that it is a busy day, but you still have enough time to really enjoy yourself and what you are seeing. The stops broke up the driving perfectly, and while there is some walking, it is a very manageable amount. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking! I can only imagine what it would look like in the full bloom of summer! Our tour guide Julia was wonderful - very knowledgeable about the places we went and their history, as well as talking about the current political state of Spain. Given that so many interesting things our happening in politics around the world, I loved getting to hear about Spanish politics from a local. If you're looking for a fun and easy way to get to the Pyrenees from Barcelona, I definitely recommend Explore Catalunya's day trip!
Worth every penny and more! The mountains were beautiful. Heals the mind and the soul. I was a little disappointed because the boats were not operational and there was no horseback riding since the snows had just melted. But the hikes were worth it.
