What You Can Expect

Your tour begins at 3:30pm, when you’ll greet your guide and small group outside of the Botiga Shop on Mallorca Street. During the short stroll towards La Sagrada Familia, your guide explains the history of La Sagrada Familia, whose initial blueprints were not designed by Antoni Gaudi, and the architectural inspiration behind the icon.

On arrival at the UNESCO-listed landmark’s entrance, appreciate the finer details of the façade, abundant with religious symbolism and carvings, before you bypass lines often in excess of two hours with your pre-booked entrance tickets. Prepare to be amazed by the cathedral’s equally impressive interior: ethereal light streams through stained glass windows, dramatic columns shoot heavenward, and a magnificent altar provides a theatrical focal point.

If you’ve upgraded to include a visit to the towers, you’ll take a high-speed elevator and serpentine staircase to the top. From your vertiginous vantage point, absorb panoramic views of Barcelona’s cityscape before returning to the cathedral’s exit, where your tour concludes.

Loved this tour, the guide was very knowledgeable and her English perfect. The 400 steps down from the tower was a small challenge

We really enjoyed this tour of Sagrada Familia - Sara was very kind and gave a great commentary of this incredible building. The interior of the church is very special and the beautiful light and space makes it well worth a visit.

Fabulous Tour...I highly recommend it ! You can walk through it on your own, however you will miss so many things you don't realize are there. The Tour Guide was great and you have earphones while the tour is going on so no matter what language you speak you can understand everything.

The tour of Sagrada Familia was absolutely amazing. The setting, the sunlight, the structure and history of this magnificent space is breathtaking! Our tour guide was wonderful and provided us with informative information and history and local stories as well. We had purchased tickets to the Towers too but, unfortunately the day of our tour was too windy for the Towers to be explored. This was indeed a disappointment but Viatour provided a very timely refund of for the addition of this to our previously purchased ticket which was much appreciated. Definitely pre-purchase tickets as it will save time in a long line. Sagrada Familia is a must see when in Barcelona - you won't be disappointed one bit!!

The tour was excellent with a knowledgeable and efficient young woman who knew her way around this massiv edifice. Visitors should be forewarned that even in the winter, the numbers of visitors are overwhelming and security very tight. This can cause delays that eat into your tour time. That said, our guide was excellent and got us into the basilica with a minimum of fuss.

We were thoroughly impressed with out tour of Sagrada Familia and our guide. She was well informed on the significance of the Biblical references represented by the different aspects of the sculptures and history of the different people involved in the work and ongoing plans for completion. There was good information given on the different parts of the church and we were given sufficient time on our own to wander and explore. It was a highlight of our holiday and I definitely would recommend anyone going to see this place to take a tour because there is so much detail that was given by our guide that made everything much more meaningful
