What You Can Expect

Skip the Line: Park Guell and La Sagrada Familia Guided Tour

Park Guell entrance

Your tour begins at 9:30am outside of Bar Picasso, located on Carrer Mallorca in central Barcelona, where you’ll greet your guide and make the short walk to La Sagrada Familia, indisputably Antoni Gaudi’s most famous work.

Begin by admiring the finer details of the cathedral’s four facades, embellished with carved figures and biblical scenes, before heading inside and bypassing long lines often in excess of two hours.

Following your tour of the spectacular inside, characterized by its vaulted ceilings and prismatic stained glass windows, you’ll continue by car to Park Guell, located a short 10-minute drive away.

Begin your park tour at the multi-colored mosaic icon, Guell’s icon, and hear about the park’s conception and changing function over the years. Your tour concludes at the entrance of Park Guell.

The tour was fantastic. Our guide met us at the spot as stated on the confirmation very promptly. He had so much great information about La Sagrada. We spent a lot of time talking about the symbolism and taking great photos. Then, the company hired a transportation company to take us to Park Guell. There were only 4 people in our group. At Park Guell, he gave us a nice briefing and helped take some of our photos. I would recommend this tour.

We had this tour with David Chacon who met us at La Sagrada Familia. David was so knowlegable and personable. Not only did he know alot about Antoni Gaudi but he had many photos on his IPAD that he had taken at different times of day and at different seasons and he texted them to us. He told us about the measurements and all the figures as well as the architect himself. We also toured Park Guell and the beautiful mosaics and David explained the columns, the gardens and the benefactor etc. to us. David was also kind enough to make suggestions as where we could find the best tapas in Barcelona. We definitely would recommend asking for a tour with him.

We had a truly wonderful tour experience with David. His knowledge and passion for the culture, architecture and history of Barcelona, particularly for Gaudi and his works in Park Guell and La Sagrada Familia are evident in his engaging delivery of the content. Furthermore, David was very friendly and easy going, the time we spent flew by and we will gladly book with him again for future tours. He is an All-Star guide for sure.

We had a great time on this tour in Barcelona, Spain. Our very knowledgeable guide, Guadalupe, showed us around the Basilica and then we went inside. Spent time inside the church. We were able to obtain valuable information on Gaudi, the plans for the construction of La Sagrada Familia, and specific details one would not be able to obtain on your own. We visited the downstairs area where Gaudi's office was located, and saw the school he had built for the workers' children. Very moving. Gaudi is buried in the lower part of the Basilica, which is another church. We were taken from La Sagrada Familia to the top of the hill where Parc Guell is located. Wonderful place, so full of interesting details. One negative thing--but which will be very positive later on--was the fact that there is construction going on in one of the key sections of the park. We sat on one of Gaudi's benches and took on the sights and sounds of a day in the Park. We visited the downstairs section of the park, what was to become the Market Place for the residents of Parc Guell. We loved the tour and especially the fact that we did not have to wait in line in either of these two iconic Barcelona sites.

Mediocre guide. She tried hard but was disorganised and instead of feeling we skipped the lines we had paid to, felt like we were being dodgy. No cars or cabs waiting and she just jumped the que to snag a taxi.
