A delectable cultural experience. Your guide will explain when and why locals eat various sweets like churros and turrón -- and you'll get to try them all!
It was three people on our tour plus our guide. The guide was very knowledgeable, having studied a lot of the history and culture surrounding the food we were eating and the locations visited. All the samples would have equaled the cost of the tour, if not come out ahead, so it was a true bargain to not only get the samples but also have a local lead you around the city and answer questions. Fairly easy to find location, it's a glass-front building and you might have to knock if you're there too early.
Tour guide was amazing. She tailored the tour to our interests, knew about the chocolate, knew about the city, and knew the people at the locations we visited. We not only tasted some wonderful chocolate, but we also learned a lot about Barcelona. Can't recommend it highly enough!
Very much enjoyed this tour..it was definitely worth it. It was only my daughter and I in the tour, so basically a personalized tour through El Born, El Gotic and Les Corts districts, visiting small streets, learning about history and anecdotes. Our tour guide Nico was great too! The samplings were actually a bit too much, but I got to take it with me!
Sebastian my tour guide was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and personable. This tour was a great way to enjoy great sweets and learn the history of the neighborhoods. I only wish I would have bought more chocolates.
This tour was amazing! The lady that gave the tour was super informative about sweets which was great for my pastry chef husband. My only regret was not doing the tour earlier in my stay.
This was our favorite activity in Barcelona.
Sofia Estrela, an amazing guide, an engaging walking partner for the four of us in the tour, and a highly qualified person to share with us about Chocolate and food in Barcelona! On the first morning we arrived, weary from travel, our time with her energized us for the the remaining 3 days we visited Barcelona. I highly recommend this tour not only to chocolate fanatics but to anyone interested in gastronomical joy!!
This was a fantastic tour, not easy for a family of 2 parents and four kids 9 - 14! Nico our tour guide tailored our tour to what we had or hadn't already seen, he was both informative and interesting, he was good with the kids and really good company. he took us to all different kinds of shops, not just sweet shops, and educated us on the traditions around nougat, churros and the most beautifully made small cakes, and we had the best time, despite the rain! i can't recommend this tour highly enough!
Nicolas, my guide, was fabulous! We went to many chocolate places, sampled chocolates at each place, and I bought goodies to take home with me!
This was a great little tour. Traditional churros, not sweet at all, beautiful chocolate high quality, lovely nougat. Great cava and pastry of choice at end. Bubos chicolate cake. Google it.
