The whole experience was exactly as described, only we had to get a noon show because the evening one was sold out. The musicians are very talented, the dancers are entertaining and theater is breathtaking. It is in a cool area of Barcelona, with lots of shopping and restaurants. I was originally going to book the flamenco dancing concert but my son, who had been studying in Spain, said he had developed a great dislike of flamenco music. So this was the perfect compromise.
The trio is amazing in sharing the best of Spanish Guitar music, in my view. Love to see their passion when playing the guitar and hearing the passion come through in the music. Their techniques are great. The performance gets more intense when the dancers display, once again, the Spanish passion. It was interesting to see the interaction between the guitarists and dancers, music and dance. To top it all, the Palau de la Musica Catalana is an architecture beautifully created, so it was amazing to be in there, enjoying the performance. I was even fortunate enough to have met the crew after the performance for a Kodak moment! Thanks for sharing the experience! Hope you will continue to do what you and share with others. Cheers from Singapore.
Don't miss this experience if your schedule allows it. We enjoyed a wonderful meal of tapas in the neighborhood surrounding this
theater before the performance. The theater itself is worth touring even if you don't have a venue to attend. This group of guitarists were very entertaining and professional. The dancers that participated in the performance were amazing as well. It lasted about 90 minutes and was very enjoyable. The music and the interaction of the guitarists made it a fantastic evening for my wife and myself.
I would love to attend a another concert there if I am back for a return visit. Our printed vouchers were collected at the entrance to the theater in exchange for our tickets. Very well organized.
This was my second trip to Barcelona, and my second time to this concert. The music and dancing are spectacular. Not to be missed.
The concert hall is absolutely stunning! The 4 guitarists put on an exceptional show ...very talented and entertaining.
Excellent performance of guitar maestro and a couple of Flamenco dancers. You can have a photograph taken with the guitarists after the concert. Beautiful building!
We attended this Flamenco Guitar concert with 3 maestros on guitar and 2 fabulous Flamenco Dancers. It was a wonderful evening of music, the dancers were incredible and the venue was jaw dropping and magnificent. Well worth attending. It was not a sold out night, and I only wish we could have maybe upgraded our seats once we arrived, but not knowing the protocol we did not pursue it. With Viator you have the top balcony seats good views. The acoustics were great. Our hotel was in the Born district and it was only a 15 minute walk to the Palau, not bad, even in the rain. What a great evening.
A wonderful evening - excellent musicians and amazing flamenco. The Palau de la Musica is a beautiful - a must see! Well worth the price.
Wow what a magnificent music hall...if you can call this masterpiece of Modernista architecture!! A must visit, and ideally see a show, any show just to behold the gorgeous space!! The acoustics were amazing as well as the guitarist we saw that night! I will go every future time I visit Barcelona!
Spanish Guitar concert is wonderful and should not be missed. This was the highlight of our trip.
Our night at the Palau de la musica was amazing. The performer, Jesus Guerrera, was absolutely outstanding. He was joined onstage by a percussionist, bass guitarist omg so fantastic, two singers and a handclapper. Not really sure what you call him but he was super good. The concert was supposed to last an hour and went at least 30 minutes beyond that. It was exceptional. The building is gorgeous and you won't regret attending a concert there. Do not miss an opportunity to see this beautiful facility. And if you can see an outstanding Spanish guitarist while you're there, then do it.
Fantastic evening. Thoroughly entertaining in fabulous surroundings.
Don't miss this venue and the concert! What a fabulous place! Magnificent!! We saw several concerts in Spain and Barcelona. The music is wonderful. We are still listening to the group after our return to the USA.
We did several concerts in Barcelona this one is outstanding! The venue itself is worth the price of the ticket then add the fabulous music! Don't miss this.
This was one of our highlights. The trio of guitars and the percussion accompanist were superb. The hall is stunning. Worth seeing even without the concert. Highly recommend this
The music is lovely, the building is AMAZING - go early to have a proper look around inside and out.
enjoyed the concert well performed and a must to see when in Barcelona
This verged on being an overwhelming experience. The setting is of course, amazing, and the music was too. I would put this on a must-experience while in Barcelona, most especially if you are a music lover!
This is well worth the time. I am not an aficionado or connoisseur of music, but I enjoy music and especially guitar music in all forms. The music was stupendous and the venue was superb. Not to give away the whole show, I will tell you there are wonderful moments of lightness that you will enjoy no matter your taste in music. For me it was a little difficult to find as it sits back off a main street, so go early and the venue has a restaurant although I did not eat there. There are CDs and DVDs for sale and a photo opportunity with the performers, I took advantage of this happily so. I recommend it.
Spanish Guitar Concert at the Palau de la Musica Catalana was one of the highlights of our trip! The singers were so talented and played such a variety. The three personalities of the guitarists also came through during this short time. What really surprised me was the 2 flamenco dancers, who were fantastic. They had such energy. In fact, I had booked flamenco later in the week, and the performance did not compare to the energy in this room. The setting at the Palau de la Musica Catalana was an experience itself. Each time I looked around, I saw something different. There is a beautiful stained glass window in the ceiling and sculptures that come out of the wall - in Art Deco style. Such a lovely evening. Just the right amount of time.
The Palau de la Musica is an extraordinary venue. Our friends recommended a visit but better yet a performance. So glad we booked this. We were able to experience the beauty and majesty of the theater and also see world class Flamenco dancers and listen to Fabulous guitarist. The audience was thrilled and gave standing Ovations. Do this if your schedule in Barcelona allows for an evening when a show..any show..is scheduled
