We had a very pleasant day with our guide Jordi and two other guests. Our guide was great, telling us about the villages we saw, chatting personably with us, and giving us ample time to explore the 2 villages and Andorra. He even stopped for a photo op with the Pyrenees as a background. The scenery was spectacular and it was so great to be able to get out of Barcelona for a day and see the countryside.
The tour guide was amazing. He brought us to interesting and amazing places such as Mont Lois,Andorra and Baga.In addition,he brought us to see wonderful scenery and places which are very nice to see :)
A friend and I took the Three-Countries-in-One-Day excursion on March 19, 2014. We had a fantastic experience! Our guide Nicholas was smart, funny, personable, spoke six languages (!) and had great information to share about the history and current events of all the places we visited. It was so nice to get out and see a bit of the countryside without having to bother with rental cars and directions etc. We had Nicholas plus seven people in an 8-person minivan which was very comfortable.
Baga was a beautiful little town. We enjoyed walking around Mont Louis and had a nice breakfast there. The trip into Andorra was a bit of a novelty, although I would love to go back to ski. We got to have a nice lunch and explore the shopping district. I was pleasantly surprised as I was expecting a cruise-ship-port kind of thing but really it's more of an outdoor mall with mid- and high-end boutique and department stores, tourist trinket shops and some duty free shops. I was perfectly happy to spend a couple hours exploring and came away with a fun new handbag.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this trip. And thanks to Nicholas for showing us such a good time!
Absolutely amazing tour; I would do this again and again if the opportunity presented itself. Anna, the guide/driver; was fantastic. There are not enough words to describe her: friendly, personable, knowledgeable, accommodating; she could be my best friend.
Anna was willing to stop so we could get our passports stamped at the border. She was fun and always made sure we were enjoying ourselves. If she were the guide for my other tours in Barcelona, they would also have been fantastic.
The description of the tour was accurate. We stayed in time table very well. Our tour guide / driver was nice, polite and professional. He had good language skills and adequate knowledge of the tour targets. He also was a safe driver. The bus was modern and comfortable. I would recommend this trip to my friends without hesitation.
Our guide Lydia was excellent, an on tap encyclopaedia of anything and everything to do with the history of Catalonia and Andorra.
Both Baga and Mount Louis were interesting stops and the croissants were fab!
The journey to Andorra is breathtakingly beautiful from the Montserrat Mountains as we left Barcelona to the Pyrenees as we entered Andorra. Andorra la Vell is a shoppers heaven, especially for booze and cigarettes. I highly recommend this trip, well worth the money and the early start.
Absolutely AMAZING! The best day of my entire trip. Our guide Enrique is very knowledgeable, speaks very good English and accommodating. The only pity is we couldn't get our passports stamped at Andorra.
This was a spectacular tour. The Spanish and French villages we visited were very charming. If you want to see the Pyrenees, visit a medieval village, and see the countryside, this is an outstanding tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable, and provided a wealth of background and cultural information on each of the places we visited.
Just amazing. My friend and I were the over excited Kiwis on this tour on 2/1/14. I already had high expectations but the actual day far surpassed them. Filippo was a great guide with immense knowledge of the amazing locations. This was the best tour I could imagine. Thank you!
OMG - This trip was GREAT!!! We started out riding on a very nice coach past Montserrat. Our Host gave us history and insights throughout the ride. Baga was enormously charming, but mostly still asleep when we got there. Mont Louis was also a bit sleepy but fascinating. We spent the most time in Andorra which I thought was cool. It is a modern city with some interesting architecture. The Dali Melting clock was a real treat!
We saw some breathtaking scenery throughout the coach ride in Spain, France and Andorra. Although a long day, It was a fantastic experience that I would gladly repeat.
The stop in France was good, nice landscape and views but nothing really special. The stop in Span was fine as well. Andorra is a shopping paradise (I didn't look at anything as it's not my thing), but if you walk around the very small capital you can see a few different scenes and take some nice photos. The tour guide was offering a "hiking" option after lunch, which I was the only one to accept. It was actually a short van ride to the top of the hill where there was a lake. The guide also stopped in the way down where you have beautiful views of the capital. In summary, the purpose of this tour for me was to cross Andorra from my list, but by having the extra stops in Spain and France and also by having the short ride to the viewpoint in Andorra this made the tour 5 stars.
This tour was scheduled towards the end of our seven day stay in Barcelona and it was the icing on the cake. Jordi, the tour guide and driver, was EXCELLENT in English and Spanish. He was very well versed in Catalonian history. The picturesque views of the countryside were breath-taking. We had a small group for the tour which made the experience very personal and pleasant. I would recommend this tour during your visit to Barcelona.
