Wonderful tour led by Mike our very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. The history tells its own story but Mike's detailed explanations pulled it all together for my wife and I. Really enjoyable trip and highly recommended for all.
The tour was amazing. Our guide Lloyd, did an amazing job on the tour of conveying all the history at all the sites we visited. We visited 7 sites, and had about 40 minutes at each site after driving about 15-20 minutes between each site on the bus. Even the bus ride time was educational with Lloyd explaining us various things, and some videos as well. Lloyd is incredibly knowledgeable about the Normandy history, and it shows through the great tour we had. This tour is highly recommended.
Lloyd was a fantastic guide. He was extremely knowlegable in all aspects of the Normandy invasion. His passion for his work made this a memorable experience for us.
This was a great tour! Our guide, Jon, was wonderful! He was full of stories and information. We had a small group and the sites were amazing. I would recommend this tour to my friends and family, especially if they could get Jon.
Great tour of the American D-Day sites. It's a fast, easy way to see everything. Our tour guide was very knowledgable and we are so glad we did this tour. Highly recommend!
We were originally looking for a private tour guide, but when they were all filled up, we looked for a group tour I am so glad that we went with this tour!! We got so much out of this one activity - our tour guide, Mike, from Bayeux Tours was an excellent story teller who was very passionate about World War II history. His details and personal touch were priceless. Lunch at the privately owned lunch location was an excellent treat. If you're on the fence about taking this tour, don't be, just book it.
It was a great tour! Our guide made it very interesting and personal!
The tour was great! Mike was absolutely phenomenal as a tour guide! Besides that, he went the second mile. My father had landed on Omaha Beach, and after I gave Mike so of the information I had available, he actually found out some new additional information about where and when he landed on the beach. Then he took us there and pointed out where the documents indicated he landed.
If you have limited time in Normandy this is a MUST DO thing. This is a long day but great overview of all major American invasion events. Unfortunately we did not get a chance to go into any of the great looking museums in this region specializing in the D-Day experience. In retrospect we could have spent 3 days in this region of France, so if you are still planning your trip add more days!
We loved our tour Jon was so informative could answer our questions . Again a great driver the transportation was comfortable we hope go back again
Our guide, Mike, of Bayeux Tours, was superb. His knowledge of history, geography, and the events surrounding D-Day was amazing. He was easy to understand and is very passionate about the subject. Our group consisted of just one other couple, which made for an enjoyable, easy-going day. We could not have learned as much as we did nor found our way around easily on our own. We highly recommend this tour.
Our guide spoke excellent English and was extremely knowledgeable about the events of D-Day and beyond. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire day and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to see the beaches of Normandy and hear the the events that occured on that day.
The full day tour of Normandy D-Day beaches was fabulous. Our tour guide Jon was very knowledgeable and articulate and made this day wonderful. The tour covered everything we hoped to see and having a group of only 10 on our trip made things easy and accessible. He provided the history and insight into the events of D-Day and my wife and I had a wonderful day. The small tour bus was comfortable and having the video of events between stops was great. The included lunch was good and the 8-9 hours just seemed to fly by. Great tour !!! Phil N.
I can't recommend this enough! Our tour guide, Mike, was incredible and EXTREMELY well read. Never have I met an individual as enthusiastic and passionate about their job as Mike. He could show me around a shoe factory and I'd still have a good time. Aside from the awesome tour guide, the tour itself was incredible. We went to 5 very pivotal locations and learned more than you could ever hope to. Visiting the German cemetery added a level of understanding and empathy that I honestly had never had for German soldiers of WWII prior to this tour. This alone, would be reason enough to book this tour, I could argue. Aside from that the other locations were incredible, and even daunting as well. While we learned so much from our very informed tour guide, we also got to check out each location a bunch on our own. Nothing felt rushed at all. We were even provided a very good lunch at a very unique, beautiful location. I can't recommend this tour and Mike enough.
The young man that took us on the tour was very knowledgeable and personably, he was able to answer our questions and gave us ample time to reflect. Thank you for choosing such excellent guides.
First class. I thought the information was very well balanced and I thought to start at the German cemetery was very thought provoking and correct. We went on our own the next morning to the other beaches and the information given the previous day helped us a great deal. I was wondering, being English, if this tour would be right for us. It was. many thanks

A must see, especially for American's. To be at the places that started the end of the war. Great tour guide Charlie.
Guide was terrific, knowledgeable, and informative. Definitely worth the visit. Our guide was willing to help find our family member's grave. Thank you again Charles. Highly recommended.
This tour was the highlight of our trip. Charles our guide was so knowledgeable and a great leader. He paced this tour fabulously, and showed us all the highlights of D Day locations, with many insights about what went into the invasion of Normandy. I would highly recommend this tour.
This tour is an absolute MUST for anyone wanting to see the Beaches of Normandy! I took my Dad he was 8 when WWII was happening on this trip as it was a lifetime dream of his to see this place. Our tour guide was this man from England that spoke very clearly, energetically and educated about WWII. They picked us up on time, in a small comfortable van with a video screen I could see and hear well. My dad sat in front to hear better. The tour went through in a timeline all that occurred on the Beaches of Normandy, from the historical perspective of an American. My dad has been watching history unfold and the History Channel for years, so he found this to be completely accurate but also fulfilling. I am a novice to history, but I really appreciated the tour as I feel I can understand what happened as I felt it there. Part through the tour we were brought to a little place to eat lunch, we enjoyed a delicious sandwich with chips, dessert and beverage. Our guide was never off duty as we all used every moment with him to ask questions. I found it personally rewarding to be able to ask him about my Great Uncle that served in the Devil's Brigade in France....he was a surviving paratrooper one of the first special forces. Our guide gave me extra insight into this, valuable for my family and my family tree. I only regret we couldn't have had a longer tour well and that my camera wasn't stolen in Frankfurt so I could have had more pictures of this tour that were in the camera, another day, etc because there is so much to learn. THANK YOU to our guide!! My Dad speaks of this tour every day and how impressed he was with this guide. Thanks for making our first trip to Europe so memorable! For all of you that would like to some tidbits of info: 1. Bring a notebook if you want to remember all this fascinating history. 2. Bring a jacket, it is breezy here 3. Buy a Cider 4. There are opportunities to use the bathroom...a constant worry of mine.
We enjoyed this tour not only because of the knowledgeable and interesting commentary of our guide, Charles, but also because of the small group setting which allowed us to ask lots of questions as well as get to know our fellow tour members. We came away with a much greater appreciation of the enormity of the D-Day operation as well as the many hardships and obstacles faced by the troops. We were returned to our hotel by 5:30 which gave us plenty of time to enjoy the remainder of the evening exploring the streets of Bayeux. I would highly recommend this tour if you are looking for an interesting overview of the American D-Day operation.
Charles was a very informative guide with a great sense of humor. The choice of stops was perfect to give us a very good perspective of what happened on that day of course the sideways rain at Utah beach was pretty authentic as well. One of the best excursions of our entire trip to France!
