We had an amazing guide take us through the tour. We were picked up in a van at the train station, drove to Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery and Memorial. Our guide took us through some back roads to help us get a feel for the landscape, she gave us lots of history and background in the van while we drove. She also took us out on Omaha beach and drew in the sand to explain exactly the chain of events that happened there. It was a great visual and very powerful. It was also moving to hear the story told from the perspective of a local who really understood the impact of what the war had done and how these events saved the lives of so many.
This is an excellent place to visit and this was an excellent tour. If you go to France, do yourself the favor of coming and seeing the Normandy Beaches and hearing the incredible story of our brave soldiers. It is truly amazing and mind-blowing.
Wonderful experience. Very moving and educational. Our tour guide, David, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly.
Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We learned a lot in the 4 hours we had. I only wish we had more time to explore so maybe the full day tour would have been better. Sometimes we got rained on but that happens.
Great tour of Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery with Matthieu. He's a local and his personal experiences of the war made this a wonderful tour.
For us, the half day tour was just right. We visited two beaches as well as the American cemetery. The tour was emotionally moving and half day was enough. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and passionate.
Our guide, Kate, was knowledgeable and experienced. She even adapted the tour times to meet an unexpected schedule issue for the other family that was with us, and yet made sure that our own group was still accommodated.
Francois was an excellent guide. He gave us a really good and factual accounting of the D Day and Normandy invasion events. He put it all into a very comprehensivei tour, and explained the differences between the Omaha terrain and the other beaches, and why it was so much harder for the US troops to land and to take this beachhead. Really a very good and comprehensive and factual account, and much appreciated.
Matthew sp? made the trip. He filled our time with historical information and stories including about his grandfather, who was in the French resistance!. We could tell he has really done his homework, including a trip to Washington DC to find additional information and photos. Very passionate about WWII for a 35-year-old young man. Definitely recommend.
Our tour guide, Emily picked us up and we drove in a van with 5 other people. Emily had a mic that used the speakers of the radio, so we could all hear her clearly. She commented on the countryside, the local customs, the war, the troops, the beaches, ...everything of interest. It was fascinating and very moving. It was well worth the price.
We had Adrienne and he was a great tour guide. For us, the half-day trip was the ideal length of time. The tour was well structured and historically accurate as I checked things out after the fact. This particular tour was very much worth the price.

This tour was spectacular. If you can, I would recommend doing the full day tour because there's so much to see. Our tour guide, Rose, was very knowledgeable about the subject and provided us with a great history lesson. You visit Pointe Du Hoc, Omaha Beach, and the American Cemetery. Rose had many pictures from World War 2 and would show us what everything looked like during that time. I am very grateful for this tour. Thanks Rose!

it was a perfect half day tour. We experienced the major points, had time at each for reflection, pictures and experiencing not only the history but the beauty of the area. The size of the group was PERFECT.. bigger group would have definately took away from the experience. Our guide was WONDERFUL.. knowledgable, easily understood, kind and point on!! I would recommend this tour over and over again!! I spoke to others on the tour and they agreed - this half day was PERFECT!!!
LOVED the tour. It was such an experience to be able to see all of the main sights. I think the timing is wonderful and at each sight we had plenty of time to see and walk around the area. The cemetery is very moving and I like that our tour guide explained things and then let us have free time there to experience everything for our self. We took the train from Paris to Bayeux and it was the most perfect day trip!
Our guide, Antoine, was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the information he shared with us. For someone who went into the tour knowing next to nothing about D-Day or even WWII, I still felt like I got a lot out of the tour. The beaches were beautiful and it was really interesting to see the bunkers and learn about how the invasion happened. The highlight for me was when Antoine drew a play by play map in the sand to explain how it all went down. It was also very sobering to see the two graveyards. The small group size was nice as well as it allowed us all to ask a lot of questions and get a very personal experience.
I was most impressed by what happened after the tour. I realized once I finished the tour and headed to a nearby restaurant for dinner that I left my extra pair of shoes on the van. We called the tour company and Antoine promptly answered offering to personally deliver them to where we were eating dinner. He definitely went above and beyond and I greatly appreciated it!
A highlight of our trip. Our guide Mr. Cardinale is a lifelong resident of the area and historian with impressive knowledge and personal passion for these weighty sites. He also provided good doses of spunky humor, and good cheer. It was a fascinating and moving day. Top recommendation.
One of the best tours ever. Tour guide Francois was not only knowledgeable, but passionate. You had to stand on Omaha beach to truly understand what troops faced on D-Day.
Absolutely wonderful young man, Antoine, took us on an amazing tour! He was very knowledgeable and very personable. Wouldn't have missed this for the world. Every American needs to see Normandy at least once in their lifetime!
Our tour guide was great and very knowledgeable about what happened in Normandy.
Our tour was excellent and our tour guide, Adrian, was impressive. He was very knowledgeable of all the history around the D-Day landing events. We would recommend this tour to anyone in the future.
Adrien M. was a phenomenal guide! We learned so much from this entertaining, articulate, and knowledgeable young man. His portfolio of war photos to accompany our tour showed us exactly where we were standing on D-Day. We had time to wander on our own at all 3 places too.
We loved the tour. Our guide, Mathieu sp? was fantastic and so knowledgable about Normandy, WWII, the politics at the time, history he had a great answer for each of our many, many questions. This 1/2 day tour was good for my family of six with two small children.
