Continue to the Old Summer Palace or Yuanminyuan Park, another idyllic garden complex, laid out in the 18th century. Admire the stunning natural scenery, dotted with lakes, bridges, and pavilions, as your guide fills you in the palace history. At the end of the visit, head to a local restaurant to enjoy a delicious lunch of typical Chinese cuisine.
On the way back to the city, pass by the site of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, and see the striking Birds Nest and Water Cube stadiums.
Your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel around 3pm.
