My friend and I had an all day tour with Lili as our personal guide. We very much enjoyed and appreciated her thorough historic knowledge and perspectives. Lili was very personable and friendly and very attentive to our interests and comfort. She hosted and joined us for a very nice lunch during which she continued to share interesting perspectives on life in China and both recent and ancient history. One of the best local tour guides either of us have ever had in our travels.
We highly recommend this tour. Our guide Angie was amazing. She is so knowledgeable about the sites as well so much Beijing history. I cannot recommend enough. Angie is incredibly kind and my daughter loved spending the day with her. 5 stars for sure. Angie and her drive Leo made our visit to Beijing such a memorable one. She even texted us when we arrived home to make sure our journey went well and we arrived safely. A perfect day with a perfect tour guide!
We were lucky enough to have Serena as our tour guide. She was a lovely girl and full of information for us. It was pouring rain in the morning but still warm weather and Serena made sure we were still able to see the sights we had paid for. She was able to answer any questions we had and was very interested in our way of life as well. Serena had terrific english so communicating was not a problem. Lunch was terrific, peking duck was on the menu and Serena ordered a heap of local dishes for us which were the best chinese meal we had on our trip......and an added bonus...it was all paid for already! Would highly recommend this day tour, and if you get a chance....ask for Serena :
This was absolutely the best tour I have ever taken. Our tour guide Carrie and our driver Mr. John made sure we had the most remarkable day in Beijing.
They picked us up at our hotel early in the morning and dropped us at the Beijing airport at night. We had booked this excursion because Air China changed our flight connections which resulted in a 23 1/2 hour layover in Beijing. We didnt want to sit in the airport for that length of time. Carries english language skills are perfect and her commentary enhanced our sightseeing experience.
We saw and did everything on the itinerary. We visited Tiananmen Sq , Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace and more. To get maximum sightseeing we delayed our lunch to dinner. Carrie and John took us to an amazing restaurant. The Peking Duck was my highlight of the dinner. After 4 or 5 duck pancakes I was stuffed with all the marvelous food. There was so much delicious food no one could finish it all.
We cannot thank Carrie and John enough for providing us with a view of the highlights of Beijing. We will never forget them and the wonderful time in Beijing.
Maria made for a great day for us. We got to see so many amazing things in a day without feeling rushed. She started the day by giving us a gift. It was so nice to go to these places and have Maria truly bring them to life for us with all the great insight and history. It was also very nice to not have to worry about tickets or standing in any lines, it really felt like she gave us a VIP access. We had an amazing authentic lunch and truly life changing experience with all the wonderful places we got to see with her help. She took a bunch of pictures for us and was really there to make our day. Then to finish the day after the tour was over and she did everything and more she was suppose to we asked her about teahouses and where to buy some souvenirs and not only did she give us the place but took us to two great places on her own time as well. First we stopped at the pearl flea market where she made sure we got quality stuff w the best deal which was really fun then went to a teahouse and had a ceremony and bought some great tea without feeling any pressure from her or the staff. she finished the day with a day and guiding us home. Would definitely recommended this tour with Maria.
I booked this tour for my mother that had a temporary issue with her knee and the tour guide was extremely nice and accommodating. Unfortunately she was in Beijing during a big sand storm but they were able to see all the sights at her own pace. I would recommend this tour for anyone with little time and that prefers a tailored experience of Beijing
This is a great tour, visiting some of the greatest places in Beijing. If we did it again, we would probably try to do a little less this made for a rather long and quick-moving day. Our guide, Carrie, spoke excellent English and gave terrific information about the places we visited. The lunch stop may seem touristy, but in fact it was a wonderful meal.
Dana was the most amazing guide. She has an excellent command of history and accommodating for her group. She was full of wonderful stories, excellent English, was an amazing host for lunch, ordered great food and adjusted on the go. I can't say enough good things about her, except that we wish we could have taken her to Xian the next day.
This tour was part of a three week Asia vacation, and it was certainly a highlight! Angie is an excellent guide for this type of adventure. She was on time ready to go, full of knowledge, helpful information, and took excellent care of our group! This is a must do tour simply due to the volume of information you have access to and the number of notable sights on the agenda. The great thing is that you are on foot and up close and personal with so much history. Angie made sure we got our history lesson and was able to keep things moving at the same time. You will never be bored on this tour. Lunch was fantastic! Great uncrowded restaurant with great duck and a full menu for everyone in our party.
This was a great tour to start our visit to Beijing. It showed us an overall viewing of the city and highlighted several major sights. Our guide was very accommodating and adjusted our tour to visit the park north of the Forbidden City for some wonderful views of the city rather than tour the Forbidden City since we had an in-depth tour later in the week with her tour group scheduled for the Forbidden City. This was a great recommendation and we really appreciated it. The Summer Palace was beautiful and the boat ride across the lake was wonderful. A really great tour guide made this a tour to highly recommend.
Angie went the extra mile to give us the Best experience on this trip! She explained everything in detail with her impeccable English. This tour involves a lot of walking but well worth the effort. This was the highlight of our two weeks in China. Well worth the extra for a private tour. This is a spectacle not to be missed,a well put together tour.
Helen was an informative and good tour guide. We enjoyed ourselves but it seemed like too much to put in one tour and we realized maybe a tour each for the Temple of Heaven and the Forbidden City would have been better. It was definitely an overview tour. We enjoyed ourselves despite the rain. It would have been better if there was more lighting inside the temples so you could actually see what was in there but I understand that is not historic. I also wanted to spend more time looking in the rooms at the Summer Palace but we were kind of hurried along so that was a bit disappointing. Overall it was a good tour.
Our guide Angie was really fantastic and really looked after us. She was knowledgeable, helpful and kind, and happily allowed us to take the tours at our own pace. The tour itself was amazing - we loved the park at the summer palace seeing the local people enjoying themselves, and the forbidden city is everything you might expect it to be. A great trip.
