Let a personal guide accompany you to three major sights around Beijing: the Great Wall at Mutianyu, Tiananmen Square, and the Forbidden City. This full-day private tour includes entrance fees, a Chinese lunch, and a photo stop in front of the Beijing National Stadium. Travel at your own pace without any rush, with the option to take the cable car or chair lift up to the wall and a toboggan down.

  • Full-day tour of three Beijing highlights with a personal guide
  • Ride the cable car, chair lift or toboggan at the Mutianyu Great Wall
  • Wander through Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City
  • Entrance fees, lunch, bottled water, and transport by private vehicle
  • Pickup and drop-off at selected hotels in Beijing
  • Private guide for a more personalized experience
Upon pickup from your selected hotel in the morning, depart Beijing in the comfort of your private vehicle. Relax on the 1.5-hour drive to the Great Wall at Mutianyu and stop en route for photos in front of the Beijing National Stadium, aka Bird's Nest, home to the 2008 Summer Olympics (time permitting).

On arrival, learn from your private guide about the construction and restoration of the Mutianyu section at the Great Wall of China during the Ming Dynasty. A chair lift or cable car ticket is included to more easily ascend the architectural marvel, where you can explore at your own pace and look out over the surrounding hillsides.

Then ride a toboggan down and stop at a local restaurant in the Huairou district, known for its chestnuts, mushrooms, and trout. Here, you choose from various dishes featuring countryside-style cuisine for your lunch.

Returning to Beijing in the afternoon, you'll visit Tiananmen Square, home to the Monument to the People's Heroes and the National Museum of China. Wander the square on foot with your guide before passing through the south gate to the Forbidden City. The 250-acre (101-hectare) complex in the middle of Beijing was the imperial palace from the Ming and Qing dynasties and now houses the Palace Museum. After you discover this former ceremonial and political center of the Chinese government,  your guide will drop you off at your hotel.

Sally was our tour guide and she did an excellent job. Vegetarian like us she was able to order a feast of dishes for us to try and some special tea she brought from her home town. While lines were long, she chatted with us and never rushed us. The vehicle provided was pristine and our driver great

GREAT !!! Our tour guide Albert was friendly and informative. Pickup was on time and lunch was at a good restaurant. Time allowed for seeing the wall and Forbidden city was enough. Tiananmen square were closed due to parliament sitting but it was still good to see from across the street.

We had a very pleasant driver and a kind guide who gave us lots of information about the city and the sights. We toured Tiananmen Square, The Forbidden City as well as the Great Wall. We would recommend this enjoyable tour to everyone. We were able to take our time, learn about the history and current events in Beijing along with lunch at a local restaurant.

This was excellent with a lovely guide student who navigated us through the Forbidden city crowds. The older mainland Chinese tourists are the most pushy and escitable crowd I've seen for a long time. Anyway, lots of nice stories then a quick pockup at the north end of the city. Drive out to the wall stopping for lunch en route. Even my 13 yr old daughter ate something which was a bonus! The driver dropped us off at the wall and we walked through the modern but nicely done entrance road - souvenirs, snack places etc - to get the bus to the cable car to finally reach the wall. Amazing place and well worth the wait. Then the kart-thing down which was fun and a long traffic jammed ride home. This took so long we skipped the Birds nest and just got dropped off at hotel. Thoroughly recommend.

We had a great experience on this tour! Our guide Roy and driver Mr. Wong showed up early and were waiting for us in the lobby of our hotels on the day we booked. Roy was amazing, giving us a history lesson on China as we walked through the Forbidden City and on the way to the Great Wall. The car was spacious and modern. We stopped for lunch at a local restaurant and had a great meal. Roy asked for our food preference and made sure the food was not too spicy for my friend. The Great Wall was amazing. Roy gave us 2 hours to explore the wall on our own and showed up exactly where to go. Overall it was an amazing day. I highly recommend this tour to others visiting Beijing!
