Your tour starts by meeting your guide at the Beijing Hotel on Chang’an Avenue and heading to the night market at Wangfujing. Stroll along the food stands to see the variety of things being sold by vendors, and perhaps try items such as fried banana or even a deep-fried scorpion (food purchases are at your own expense).

Then continue to Nanluoguxiang, a quaint area home to cafes, bars, and shops that sell traditional crafts. The sun will be starting to set at this point, so watch as neon lights and the traditional red lanterns create a cozy yet lively atmosphere. From here, keep walking to the connected area of the Back Lakes (Hou Hai), where rickshaws pass by and small shops line alleys. Visit a few street food vendors to buy snacks, if you wish, and then stroll through a bustling area of bars and live music venues, where your tour ends. You area free to stay out here to continue enjoying your night in Beijing.

Very interesting views of old Beijing at night - enjoyed our guide Sharon. Got some great pictures and she showed us how to eat traditional hotpot. Great experience.

Our Beijing Night Tour Including Wangfujing Night Food Market was a lot of fun even through we had to cut it short. We had walked the Great Wall of China that day and everyone on our tour group was very tired...we should not have scheduled this walking tour after the Great Wall. Our entire group was people in their 50's and there was quite a bit of walking to do. Had we not done the Great Wall that same day, we would have been more refreshed for the walk. We even skipped the Bar tour portion of the evening, and that location sounded and looked really amazing! That said, out tour guide Sherie really took great care of us and made location pick up and start time accommodations for us since we were getting back from the Great Wall later than the scheduled start time. She guided is through the metro system in Beijing and got us to our destination in Wangfujing...leading a group of gimpy tourist. Not a small task. Even as tired as we were, we had a great time and got to see some really interesting sights. I wish I was able to do the entire tour, including the bar scene, but I guess that will have to wait until our next trip. Thank you Sherry for going above and beyond and in accompanying us back to our hotel after the tour to make sure we arrived safely. We really appreciated your help. I would recommend this tour to anyone and ask for Sherry. She will definitely make it a great evening.

Joy was a joy as a tour guide. We were very late and she was patient waiting for us. The local food was an experience, including live scorpions on a stick! If you like to experience the food as the locals do, this tour is for you

The Houahi Bar area was very entertaining and the best part of this tour. There was no driver. The guide spoke good English but was not very engaging.
