Audrey was very helpful with the travel arrangements and a knowledgeable guide. The trip is excellent especially if you are short of time because you can see 3 important sites in one day as well as have a delicious lunch. Having time to walk a section of the wall is wonderful.

Everything as expected. Jimmy our guide was great. Communication the day before could have been better. Love the fact there is no high pressure selling.

Rico was our tour guide for the day and he was absolutely amazing! He was able to answer our questions and provided great background on the history and stories of the places we visited. This was a last-minute booking for me, an unexpected trip to China and I was anxious to see a few of the sites. I was alone for this trip and never before in China, so a little unsure about what to expect.

We had 6 English-speaking guests on the tour and Rico immediately made us feel comfortable and welcome. We started with Tienanmen Square and the Forbidden City, learning about China's incredible history. Beijing is a large international city and I was pleasantly surprised to find it so clean and friendly. Lunch was family style, and everything was delicious. Then we headed to the Great Wall - I wasn't quite prepared for the magnitude or the gravity or the beauty of this place! The Great Wall is at the top of the hill, and there are 3 options to reach it: hike up, take the cable car, or take the chairlift. The cable car and chairlift go to different points on the Wall, and our group elected the chairlift route and to stay together. Rico rode with me and kept me sane - did I mention I have a crazy fear of heights? It wasn't too bad, about 3 minutes and the chairlift was large and comfortable. We hiked through a few towers and along uneven and sometimes very steep steps. As an obvious side note, many steps did not have handrails so take your time and be careful. I had a few minutes to sit in one of the tower windows and just reflect. There are no words to describe the moment, I'm just so thankful I had this opportunity. The best surprise was the ride back down, if you take the chairlift up you can take the toboggan down. Incredibly unexpected and fun!

Lastly, we were there mid-November and it was freezing on top of the Wall, but we were virtually alone! I got several pics of just the Wall and countryside with no people. It was a little misty, so the Wall weaved in and out of the clouds but for me that was even more breathtaking. If you have time to plan ahead and intend to visit during winter months absolutely bring your heavy winter gear with hat and gloves, and sturdy shoes. I didn't and still managed OK thanks to a fellow traveler who loaned me her hand warmer, thanks! but I'd strongly recommend to dress accordingly.

If you're still not sure ... TAKE THIS TOUR! You won't regret it. What a great way to get a glimpse of China's history and beauty in a single day. On a personal note, I was traveling for work alone and as an older woman never felt uncomfortable or unsafe. Every meal I had on my trip was absolutely delicious and everyone I encountered was incredibly helpful and friendly. Rico took good care of us from hotel pick up to hotel drop off. Couple of tips I picked up: I would suggest to write down the Chinese address of your hotel if you are wandering the city outside of the tour, and download a translation app as I did. I used AT and T's Passport for cheap/easy text and data, and my iPhone map was a helpful navigator. Ladies, you'll see images on the stall doors to see if it's western style and yes, they had a couple of those even at the Great Wall.

Rico was absolutely wonderful and I would strongly recommend you try to get him as your tour guide if you have any opportunity to do so. He is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and very proud of his country and his heritage. He also knows a lot about what's going on in the rest of the world, so it was easy to talk with him about a wide range of topics. Thanks for taking such great care of us Rico! Hope to see you again.

Tina our guide was great! She looked after each of us in the group with water, rest stops, etc. and went out of her way to share her experiences as well as the information about the square, Forbidden City and Great wall. She was patient and answered all questions. She was funny, fun, and very thoughtful. A great introduction to the must see spots when you have limited sightseeing time in Beijing.

We were only in Beijing for one day and this tour was a great use of our time. Our tour guide Jimmy was great, spoke well English and had many interesting stories to tell about places we visited. Jimmy took care of everything for us and the group was great as well. I would recommend this tour to all my friends visiting Beijing.

This is the absolute best way to do the two major attractions of Beijing, the Forbidden City and the Great Wall. Our guide Celina was fantastic, very knowleadgeable and polite and ready to answer every question. Our group size of five was just perfect to have enough company but not too many. The cable car up the wall is a must for this trip as otherwise you will spend most of time and energy climbing to the wall rather than hiking on it.

We had a fabulous day! The tour of the Forbidden City and the Great Wall exceeded our expectations.
Our guide's name was Dream and that she was! Her English was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and kept us entertained.
Our only regret was that we did not have a second day to tour other sites in Beijjing with her as our guide!

This was my first experience with Viator and I should say I am really satisfied with the service I got China Highlights as the local agent. I was called and picked up from the hotel as promised. Our guide Shin had many interesting stories and facts which made the day truly enjoyable. The lunch provided was also beyond my expectation - we were served a very yummy chinese food in a big restaurant. Will definitely recommend this tour to friends!
