This was a really fantastic tour. Our guide Jackie was very informative, unbiased, and very enthusiastic. I would really recommend this tour to learn about such a fascinating history that still has a big impact today.
I would highly recommend the tour to anybody: it's interesting by itself and has the plus of bringing you where you wouldn't think of going to in a town you don't know

not as many places as I thought, but very informative in 2 hours. Good trip to have a very vivid historical narrative, probably from an Irish perspective? Kindly dropped me to the next visiting spot. Thank you Mo!
My wife and I have been visiting Ireland for the past few years, this trip being our first to Belfast and the north. Growing up with seeing the Troubles on the nightly news I've been very intersted in the political and cultural landscape of Belfast and really looked forward to this tour.
Joe was phenomenal! He was informative, funny, and did a great job adding color to what some consider a black and white issue. His stories of growing up, neighborhood, and mother a hero in her own right really put into context the older and more recent murals and stops we made along the way. I highly recommend.

Jackie was a legend, knew everything there was to know and gave his views on the progress.
Worth every penny
Belfast is full of fantastic Mural Art and this tour takes in the Murals surrounding The Troubles. Booking is easy along with arranging date time and pick up with a speedy professional and friendly response.
Joe was our tour guide. He picked us up at our hotel and immediately put us at ease with his warm friendly personality and by engaging us in the back of his cab to outline what to expect on the tour, to find out what we already know of the troubles and to bring us up to speed on the history leading up to the troubles.
Joe had a wealth of knowledge and gave a fact based impartial view of the history and background to the murals and troubles while making us comfortable to ask any questions, however delicate or stupid. The tour was extremely informative, we learnt a lot and we have a great understanding of the troubles from all sides. The complex history and sad stories of suffering were heavy going at times but Joe also kept it light with insightful stories of what life was like living in Belfast at the time with some of his own family anecdotes and stories of communities coming together to help one another.
The tour wasn't rushed and we had time to take photo's and sign the peace wall.
I would highly recommend this tour to everyone visiting Belfast or nearby and I would eagerly do this tour again. We could have sat talking to Joe for many more hours.
This is totally worth doing. I can't imagine how one would find the art and learn the stories without doing a tour.
It was FANTASTIC !!!!!!! Good work Joe ..a fantastic great tour so impressive !!!!!
My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour as we learned so much about the history and especially the politics about Ireland. Our driver Jackie was extremely enthusiastic and knowledgeable and made our experience awesome.
An absolute must for anyone visiting Belfast ... Jackie was an exceptional guide!
Gerry our driver was excellent. His knowledge of the murals and the troubles in Northern Ireland gave us a great insight into how the communities were affected and are still affected by the Troubles. The high suicide rate in the city is shocking as are the number of PTSD sufferers. I was shocked and surprised by the Peace Wall, although I had heard of it I didn't really understand the physical presence of it and the way it divides the communities. Gerry also explained to us that the murals are always changing. This was most apparent at the Justice Wall where murals are updated/ removed as justice is done. Justice can be the knowledge of what happened to loved ones or apologies for wrongs committed during the Troubles, not necessarily through trials in court.
If you are going to Northern Ireland go on this tour.
I'm of the age that I remember seeing news stories about the unrest. Belfast was a city that I never imagined I would be able to visit. Times have changed. Belfast is a wonderful city. This tour gave an insight into the troubles that plagued the city years ago, and still have lasting impact. It was a perspective completely different from my previous perception. I can't recommend this tour enough.
Great tour. Guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Highly recommend.
The trip with our driver, Michael, was great. Learned so much about the Troubles. Made many stops for pictures.
One of the best if not, the best tours we have done. Our driver was so knowledgeable and friendly and very patient with my husband who had a broken ankle. I learned so much - what an eye opening experience. I cannot recommend this tour enough - if you are going to Belfast, you must do the Mural Tour!
I can and #39;t praise this tour enough. Michael, our tour guide, was amazing. He shared his expansive knowledge with us in an engaging and interesting way. Explaining the history and current relevance of each stop on the tour. Amazing, fantastic, great, take this tour!!
What an incredible experience! This is something that will stay with me for a long time. Joe our driver/guide was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, humerous and patient. He brought history alive and raised our awareness both of the past and current situation. It felt like the tour was tailored to our needs. Cannot recommend more highly.
Like many people who grew up in the 70s and 80s I was aware of the The Troubles from news reports. The excellent Belfast Mural Tour with Joe as our guide really put into context the daily life of people living in West Belfast at that time.
The pickup was from my central Belfast hotel with a warm welcome from Joe. He gave an overview of what was going to be seen and discussed in the tour and also checked the level of our own knowledge of the Troubles which I thought was very good. The mode of transport was a black London cab and we were soon in West Belfast. Seeing the murals, significant buildings, remembrance gardens, the Peace Wall, Shankill and the Falls took me back to all those images on the news I had seen growing up. The bonus was the detailed commentary and explanations by Joe. Most importantly it was a balanced view given by him. We also never felt rushed in looking at the murals and other locations. At the end we had the choice of being dropped off at the hotel or the city centre. We went for the city centre and Joe dropped us outside the Crown Liquor Saloon. This was a great place to reflect over what we had seen with a pint of Guinness!
I highly recommend this tour if you are visiting Belfast.
Fascinating tour of Belfast's troubles with a very knowledgeable guide. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to learn more about the the history of Belfast.
extremely informative and interesting. lasted much longer than advertised time and hosted with real enthusiasm. i would recommend this tour wholeheartedly to anyone
This was a highlight of our trip to Belfast. Joe explained the history of the Troubles in West Belfast by showing us the places we used to read about on the news and by drawing on his fund of stories from those recent yet somehow also distant times. He was even-handed in his approach and showed us the good as well as the bad. Joe was patient with our teenage boys and generous with his time, answering all our questions no matter how simple. All in all it was an informative and engaging experience. Joe also seems to know everyone in West Belfast.
Jackie our tour guide for a couple of hrs.
Loads of information about the troubles, photo opportunitys, history.
Very good tour,Jackie was excellent.
