What You Can Expect

Meet your guide, a fellow Game of Thrones fan and expert, in central Belfast to begin your comprehensive Game of Thrones filming locations tour.

Jump aboard your tour bus and set off for the first destination – Carrickfergus Castle. Follow in the footsteps of William the Conqueror as you explore the history fortress, then continue to Carnlough harbor, which was on Season 6 recently.

Journey along the scenic Antrim Coast Road and stop to visit the Cushendun Caves, where one of the most memorable scenes took place - Melisandre of Asshai giving birth to her ‘shadow baby’. Then, arrive at the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, an historic rope bridge that passes 100ft (30m) over the Atlantic Ocean and connects the coastal cliffs of Northern Ireland to Carrick-a-Rede Island. Hear how scenes from Season 6 were filmed on the bridge and if you want, opt to walk the bridge (extra fees apply).

Continue to Larrybane, where Brienne of Tarth beat Ser Loras of the flowers and was given a place in Renly’s Kingsguard as her reward, before paying a visit to Northern Ireland’s only UNESCO World Heritage site – the Giant’s Causeway. Spend time taking photos of the dramatic basalt columns and hear the fascinating legends of giants from your guide.

There are still two unforgettable locations left to visit so climb back in the van and head to Dunlace Castle, better known as the House of Greyjoy. Finally, drive along the eerie Dark Hedges, where Ayra Stark made her escape from King’s Landing back in Season 1, before returning to Belfast.

The best tour of our visit. Our guide was Sharleen and she was fantastic. I'm not even a GOT fan but I really enjoyed listening to her stories of being an extra. The scenery was incredible all the way from Belfast to the Giants Causeway.
An amazing tour, great tour guide, and great driver Robert.
Loved it!!

Be warned this is not a relaxing day, however if you are short of time and want to see as many places as possible then this is the trip for you. Our guide was an extra on the show so was very knowledgeable of the places we visited. 6 stops all in all and that includes an hour at the Giants Causeway. There is no lunch stop, so go prepared with a packed lunch that you will have to eat on the coach.

I was incredibly impressed with this tour! Even with pouring rain and some heavy winds, we managed to have quite a bit of fun. Adrian was our guide and he made the tour inclusive and exciting, even for those of us more bandwagon GOT fans. He knew a ton about both Game of Thrones and Belfast/Northern Ireland and it's history. I would highly recommend this tour as an interesting and easy way to see the beauty of N. Ireland and learn some great facts about the filming of Game of Thrones.

Melanie was absolutely amazing, she was very enthusiastic about all things G.O.T. She is obviously an avid fan and was full of information and knowledge. This tour is absolutely fantastic and we even got to see two of the Game of Throne doors as well as getting to dress up and have a sword fight on the Dark Hedges.
