Had a lot of fun on this little island. Boat ride there was fun, rum punch was flowing, and the people were friendly. Get there early and rent a chair. Don't be cheap.
It was all i expected . A leisurely afternoon in paradise with free run colers. Who could ask for more
We had a great time, so worth it. The instructors were so friendly and the hole time I felt very safe. Highly recommend taking this excursion!!!!
The staff was awesome and a lot of fun. Well organized and the island was nice. Best snorkeling I've done in my life. It costs less to buy tickets directly from the tour company the day of.
This experience was, in a word, magical! Rendezvous Caye was stunning....water colors I have never seen. It literally felt as though we were dropped off on a deserted island for the afternoon, with tremendous snorkel instructors. A definite experience when cruising into Belize City.
It was great..kinda windy and the water was rough. There was a lot of waiting around for stuff to start..but it's was beautiful and relaxing. I would probably do this again...
To be honest we didn't see much snorkeling. Mostly plant life. The crew was nice.
Beautiful little island, clean, great snorkeling, clear sparkling water. Lobster was great. Very professional staff, made everything very convenient. Could only recommend more loungers for sun-bathers. Was disappointed with excursions offered by cruise line. This was a wonderful alternative. I would highly recommend this tour.
Goff's Caye is beautiful the iconic deserted island and the color of the water is so amazing it looks Photoshopped. The snorkeling is just okay as it is mostly sand bottomed with very little coral or marine life. Easy enough for beginners and a relaxing getaway for your average cruise passenger. The excursion staff were wonderful and very welcoming. You are in good hands!
Everything was as advertised, we had a great time, there were plenty of colorful fish and coral. The island is small with limited room but we spent most of our time in the water. Would do it again.
The tour was a lot of fun and the crew were great. My only issue it that this was a little unorganized so I feel we didn't get the full benefit of our time. We didn't leave until after 9:45 local time which was 11:45 ship time. Then we had the 30 min more like 45 mins ride to the Island where we dropped people to the island. Then prepared to snorkel. This process was slow and next time I will leave with the experienced group because they had a least an extra 15 mins if now more. After we were done, we went back to the island but we were only there for about 30 mins before it was time to go back. Since we were running behind they were kind enough to take up back to the ship rather than back to pier just to have to catch a tender back. With all that said the tour was fun and we enjoyed it, but there is room for improvement. Stacy, our guide was great, she was very nice and helpful. The rest of the crew we all great as well.
1st We had problems confirming the departure time. Two times are listed in the viator description.
2nd We now understand 1. They leave between the two times. They wait to fill it up and only take a second run if they have more than 80.
3rd. 80 people packed on what they call a ferry boat
4th They loaded supplies after bringing 80 people to the dock to board . So you wait in the sun
5th 45 minute ride to Goffs Caye.
6th If you have your own snorkel gear, get off the boat and just snorkel on your own around the small island. The boat doesn't go any farther than a normal snorkel from the beach. But if you ask, they'll tell you that you have to go with them. If they would have at least told the truth, we'd have gotten to snorkel over twice as long and seen much more . 1 1/2 hour travel for 40 minutes of snorkeling.
A ton of waiting for others and no time on the beach if you wanted to snorkel. Nice people but I would not recommend this tour. Way too short of a time on the island and the snorkeling was not that good and was very regimented. Not very fun at all and a long boat ride to get there.

I have been a member of Viator for several years and have taken numerous wonderful excursions all over the world. Unfortunately, this one was the worse ever. We had to wait for 2 hours for the tour to get full and leave the dock. I was given a defective snorkel mask and it broke and fell off my face.......then, I had to pay 35.00 for the lost mask. Plenty of rum punch was served and a extremely large and drunk man fell on me and bruised my hand really badly. I am 75 years old and very active, but this experience was horrible and the extra cost made it even worse.
I felt like herded cattle this entire tour. They state an hour of snorkeling followed by beach time. We were shuttled to the and #34;island and #34; (I use this term loosely as it was only a postage stamp size) with 45 other people. There were over 100 people on the island when we arrived with more boats arriving every few minutes. Once at the island we were told after 45 minutes it was time to go snorkeling. We all piled back on the boat only to be ferried 25 meters away from the beach to snorkel in 6ft of water. We were told we had to wear these giant orange foam life jackets the entire time! In the water the guides kept corralling us into a tiny pod where people fins kept kicking other people. Then, after 15 minutes we were told it was time to go back to the beach. We only had another 45 minutes at the beach before we were shuttled back to the main shore. The food was also expensive and only mediocre tasting. I am so angry I spent money on this!! DO NOT sign up for this tour it is not worth any money!!

It is really hard for us to even give this a one star rating! Most unorganized tour ever! They had us all pile into a little boat and we were packed literally on top of each other....way too many people! The waters were rough and they banged the living daylights out of us going out to the island. The island was VERY little! Docking the boat was ridiculous....we asked him how long he had been doing this and he said 13 yrs. You would think in 13 yrs you would be able to dock a boat! Crazy! They had chicken, fish or shrimp that you could buy. We were on the island for about 45 minutes with absolutely nothing to do. There was nothing in the waters around the island to snorkel and see. Then they said it was time to go snorkeling. We all piled back in the boat to go. What a joke! They gave us FULL size life jackets to snorkel with! We went out not very far and they told us to jump in. The water was only mid waist to chest deep. We had our own snorkel gear, but others were given gear to use. They gave some people snorkels that didn't even clip on to their mask. They were told to just hold onto it while they snorkeled. They kept the boat running and moving basically on top of us. After 17 mins in the water they told us it was time to go back to the island. They had nothing on board to clean the snorkel gear with afterwards. They gear never looked like it was washed. We have snorkeled a lot all over and this was the worst tour ever! They seemed like they didn't know what they were doing, very unorganized, total chaos! The way this tour was run we don't believe they had any snorkel/dive certification. They were out just to make . DO NOT do this tour! Worst ever!
Tiny dirty little island with a dirty little shack they called a bar and restaurant. We won't be going back.
It was awful! We didn't even see Belize. We got on a crowded boat, packed in like sardines, and taken for a 45 minute ride out to what they call an island which was nothing more than a sandbar with a couple of trees, a covered hut with trinkets for sale and table to purchase lunch, which was tasty chicken or lobster grilled on an outdoor grill. The snorkeling was ok. Again, we have the long ride back on an uncovered boat. No sunscreen could withstand that exposure combined with the sweat! Sunburned to a crisp!!
