100% worth taking this HoHo bus, because Berlin is widely spread out for miles and miles.
One caveat: Be careful of the end-of-day schedule. A driver on a bus I was on told everyone to get off at 4:45 p.m. because he was done for the day. I had to walk quite a distance back to the hotel.
Very good value. We had done this trip before in summer and found it to be excellent. In winter, it is the only reasonable way to gain an overview of the city
Super easy way to get around Berlin!!! These busses are EVERYWHERE and go everywhere!! Great value
Very much the best way to see the major sights if it is your first visit to Berlin. Easy to book on line, mostly easy to find the route stops. Went all the way round on our first day then having booked two day we used the bus to hop on/ off at places we wanted to visit.
I must recommend this trip, and choose the two or three day card. It gives you much moore time to explore the sites you're passning.
This was an excellent way of seeing the many historic sites in Berlin. The Hop On Hop Off bus service was excellent and the service was quick and efficient. We had a two day tour but on reflection we should have taken a three day ticket to give us even more opportunities to see all the sites. Heading to Copenhagen next and another Hop On Hop Off bus tour booked through Viator. Have used this company to book tours in many cities and have never been disappointed. I highly recommend this company.
This is the best way to see Berlin. Did a two day tour with boat and it was wonderful. Highly recommend this to familiarize yourself with the city one day by riding the bus all the way through the route. Next day stop off at what you want to see and enjoy a relaxed boat ride.
Great bang for your buck! My entire family loved it. All of the stops were very convenient for sightseeing and getting around the city.
We took the 2 day hop on hop off bus which was great. We were able to see everything on the program for the yellow tour. This is the best one with all the major highlights. Charlottenburg palace was closed the first day but then on the second day - what a great palace with its separate pavilions and lake. Able very easy to get around and was I think better than any other similar tours from other cities. Thoroughly recommend
Absolutely amazing. Make sure you get the purple route on here - we didn't and ended up paying more than double while we were there.
Great tour route. Really informative even for the educated. Even have a children's listening selection in English and German to keep the kids entertained. Before you go, look up busses, ubhan, trains and this tour route. The tour route covers every area you could wish to go. Hop on, hop off allows you to do your own thing at your own pace and lets you know the history, myths and stories we don't know. A.
We stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel Berlin which was about 800 yards from the first stop on the city center hoho bus tour. The first day we took the entire route without getting off and the information in 21 languages was detailed to create interest to stop at that particular stop the second time around. We were able to see the Wall, Check point Charlie, Potdammer Platz and many others by hopping off at these particular locations. You spent no more than ten minutes waiting for the bus at any stop. Drivers were friendly and helpful. The river boat tour was an added bonus--we sat on the boat enjoying a German beer as we were educated on Berlin via a river perspective. The exposure to Berlin was great for the money since we had only a day and a half to enjoy the city.
You need to do the Yellow Bus tour in Berlin. The Red bus tour is very disappointing in comparison
Baz United Kingdom
Always the best way to see any city as there is so much to see and do in Berlin this one is a must visits all the best olaces and is very relaxed and well planned .
Great way to get an overview of the city. My father and I took the tour without getting off first and then went back to the stops we wanted to explore.
First thing we did on arrival in Berlin was to take the bus and it gave us our bearings and the places worth going back to see. We were tired after an early morning flight so the bus supplied suitable relaxation. Only down side was the reception we received from the rep. Was'nt pleasant and to think we were paying her wages !!. Despite that it was a great tour, great commentary and took in everything
The price was actually cheaper getting the tour here. Good way to get an overview of the city.
This is a great way to get to know the city for the first time. We used it for transportation, too.
