Excellent tour. Jan was very knowledgeable and we found out some amazing topics during the cold war. Good use of time with going to the locations where things happened.
We went around for over three hours with Jared and it was fantastic! The way he gets the facts accross, the stories, the anecdotes -- the mental reconstruction of what it was like to live in Berlin at the time -- all this being presented around the most impressive surviving landmarks. The last piece of kill zone between Wall sections is particularly sobering, of course. But Jared keeps it all so lively, and even made excellent suggestions for the lunch break!
Impeccable, excellent, exhilirating... I am not making this up, Brian our tour guide was simple phenomenal! He knew every little detail, told us extra stories from A to Z - stories that I'm sure 99 of tour guides don't have the patience to tell in such detail and passion. He made our tour so interesting. This was the best guided tour I've ever taken in all of the cities I've visited. He created such a friendly ambiance among the participants in the tour group that we all became friends. The facts, the stories, the sites we visited with Brian were great and comprehensive, we kinda saw all there is to see! Thank you so much Brian, we had little time and chose this tour and I'm really happy cause you restored my faith in guided tours! Cheers!
We all think we know about the Berlin Wall but this trip really gave us such a greater insight into why, when, how, the impact and what lead to the wall coming down again. Taylor the guide did a great job on getting it all across in a clear and concise manner.
This was a great experience, not only learning tons about the Cold War, but also seeing a lot of the city. Jared was incredibly knowledge and had a wonderful personality.
Thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Thought it was excellent value for money and I and #39;m sorry can and #39;t remember our guides name (he was Australian born) Felt much more educated on the whole situation of the Cold War.
This was an interesting tour covering what life was like in East and West Berlin during the Cold War. One aspect we hoped would be covered was the espionage between the East and the West during this time, but very little of that was mentioned. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and passionate and we saw many interesting sights. And he kept us away from the touristy sights i.e., Checkpoint Charlie. We learned a lot and would recommend this tour.
The tour guide Jan was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour and can recommend it 100 to others
Loved it! Our tour guide was Ashleigh, and she was fantastic! She knew the history and was filled with extra little stories. She even had a personal connection that was interesting to hear about. I definitely recommend this tour.

Phenomenal. Barnaby was perfect. Enjoyed the entire tour start to finish.
Jamie was able to recount the history of war torn Berlin superbly well, taking us right from 1945 through to 1989 showing us some fascinating landmarks along the way, that without a guide you would no doubt miss. Highly recommended in helping to sort through the enormously complicated politics of Cold War Berlin.
Highly recommended and the best 12 euros I spent in Berlin. If you have an interest in the Cold War or recent German history, this is the one for you.
Our Guide, Barnaby, supplemented the tour high points with anecdotes and made it even more informative.
Brilliant tour. Our guide was punctual and made sure we were well organised. He was attentive and made sure that everyone in the group heard the information he was giving and understood the stories he was telling. When we had a small glitch with opening hours for a venue he had some great historic videos he showed us on his iPad which filled in the time and made the trip even more alive. A really good tour and fully recommended
Fantastic tour! Our guide Jamie told a fascinating and in-depth story that was easy to follow and engaging. Would definitely recommend if you've got an interest in history.
I learned so much on this tour. I loved every minute of it. If you are interested in the Cold War this is definitely the tour for you. You can't get anything better and the price is great!
The Cold war Walking Tour of Berlin was fantastic! I can honestly say, it was the best tour we have ever been on. It took in all the key sites of the Cold War, and more. Our tour guide John J.J. was fantastic, his knowledge of Berlin and the Cold War was huge, and he was great fun and very helpful.
This tour is a must when visiting Berlin.
Superb insight into the Cold War from Barnaby. Everything from the main mechanics that led to the fall of the Berlin Wall through to the more quirky things that the Cold War caused including a complete lack of bananas in November 1989.
This tour was full of amazing facts and figures that even cold war history enthusiasts may not know. Tour guide Taylor was great. Funny, approachable and stayed behind to guide people to where they wanted to go once the tour has finished.
Great tour to take if you want to see the important sites of the Cold War era in Berlin. The tour is four hours long and includes a lunch break.
