I highly recommend this fascinating tour! Our tour guide was a graduate student in Jewish Philosophy, and she covered a great deal of material the origins and development of Berlin's Jewish community, the Holocaust, and beyond in a highly engaging fashion. She moved from the macro to the micro and back - juxtaposing historical overviews with anecdotes about particular individuals. She even touched upon the contributions of luminaries such as Moses Mendelssohn to the Jewish philosophical tradition and, generations later, the thriving Berlin Jewish intellectual community of the Weimar Republic.
Incredibly informative and interesting. There was so much that we did not know about prior to the tour even though we considered ourselves fairly well-informed about Jewish life in Berlin just before as well as during World War 2. Our Israeli tour guide had all the facts at her fingertips, answering many questions about the Jewish community in Berlin, both before the war, and also at the present time. I would highly recommend this tour.
Our guide Ariel knew the subject matter very well and also did a good job managing the logistics including breaks for food and bathroom. Highly recommended.

We enjoy this tour with our guide Oren. It was very interesting.
Our guide, Oren S, was very knowledgeable and easy to understand. We could never have found these places on our own. We learned a great deal about Jewish life in Berlin, both before and after WWII.
Our guide, Tal, was very good, we very much enjoyed the tour. she was very knowledgeable and interesting, but I was irritated that she skipped the lunch break so that we could end the tour earlier, even though everyone agreed to it except for me. We learnt a lot and it was a very good tour, but not quite as good as the four hour walking tour with the other company.
Excellent guide called Shlomit. Very interesting tour. Although 4 hours time went quickly and there was a short coffee break. Found out information that I'd never discover on my own. Would really recommend.
This trip was fantastic and the guide was very knowledgeable. The was cold but was fine
It was, a Friday, and not the Jewish Heritage Tour i was never informed that tour only is done on Saturday and Tuesday however, I chose the Nazi period tour and was very happy with Barnaby, the tour leader who was excellent and never regretted for a moment choosing that alternative. He was well informed, very interesting and with a deep grasp of the period and many interesting asides and anecdotes that made that horrible period come alive once more.
Shulamit was very knowledgeable and although she wasn't well she gave us a very informative tour.
lovely guideshlomit which made the tour very interesting, on the negative side it doesn't make it clear that you could start in east berlinwhich is where the tour is mainly given and not go to the west berlin venue.however we enjoyed the tour which was informative ,would recommend.
Our guide was Ronen. He made this a terrific tour. He demonstrated a depth and breadth of knowledge of the places and events on this tour that made it not only enjoyable but educational as well. The pace was unhurried and Ronen gave enough of his time to allow for a deeper understanding of the places visited.
The guide was very knowledgeable, insightful and provided interesting pieces of information that I would not have known without such a tour
Really interesting and a good balance of information and history. Excellent guide
The tour guide Asap was very knowledgeable. Buying this tour on. Viator was a nightmare. They didn't give details about where to meet, the tour company they booked and that you needed a train ticket. I ran back and forth for 45 minutes trying to find the tour almost missing it. The first two people I asked at Insider tours nice heard of Viator the third person was a charm and told me the tour was through them and ready to leave I was there an hour early You can just show up at Insider tour and go on it.
Do not book a tour if they haven't provided details about the meeting place.
Maybe we misunderstood what the tour was about? It was really a history lesson which at times wasn't that interesting unless you were of the Jewish faith. It was also a very cold day and we were stood around for long periods just listening but thinking about keeping warm. The visit to the factory of Otto the Berlin Schindler the brush maker was very interesting and brought home the plight of the Berlin Jews during WW2. For us the tour needed to be more interesting and to move around to other points of interest.
We enjoyed the tour and the history information was good .We did feel that more could of been done to talk about the holacast and what Berlin is like today and what happened after the Cold War to those behind the wall .All in all we would recommend it.
