Wonderful tour! Long way from ship to Berlin but definitely worth it. Our tour guide Sam was brilliant engaging and very knowledgable! Saw all the amazing historical sites that we had only read about! Good price much better than ship. Well organised and made good time of the hours available.

This is the most rewarding tour that I have experienced. It has to do with the tour guide Boris, who is very knowlegeable and full of passion. He has won over my respect for this country and I am fascinated by how a people had struggle and overcome. Boris captured my attention for the whole time and I would strongly recommend this tour company and if possible, have Boris as your guide.

Our Berlin guide was amazing and really made us enjoy our tour. We felt we saw a lot of important places in Berlin and didn't feel rushed. She gave us so much insight about Germany's past and present. Her treatment of the difficult topic of learning from the rise of nazism, evils perpetrated, and current lessons for our time was handled very well. We had time for lunch on our own. We had come from a cruise boat and they handled the transportation to and from the boat wonderfully. Great tour!

We booked this cruise from Warnemunde, off our cruise ship. It was fantastic and highly recommended. Great driver who gave us commentary on the 3 hour drive to Berlin, which we were told we would not get. The Berlin guide, was amazing. A young Aussie guide living in Berlin for 14 Years, he was passionate and extremely knowledgeable, and had lots of fantastic old photos to emphasise points and show us the old versus the current. We saw all the main sights, and spent a good amount of time walking around them. Berlin is a lovely city, and we have now put it on our list of must see places, to go back to.

It was a good excursion.

I think our tour guide's name is Jonathan, who is from Australia. He is knowledgeable and managing time well. However, he sometime is somewhat inpatient when we asked additional questions about sightseeing and history.

Really enjoyed our guide Lindsay. She was very informative and helped us see a great bit of history in Berlin in a short period of time. It is a very sobering tour but beautiful at the same time. It is amazing to see how Berlin has been rebuilt in the years since the second World War.

This tour was the highlight of our trip! We went to all the right places, spent the right amount of time at each place, had time for lunch on our own, and got back to our ship on time. The guide was excellent and really made the tour successful. He was knowledgeable, considerate, casual, and had many interesting stories you've never read about. I highly recommend this tour for your first time in Berlin.

They were waiting for us as we disembarked the ship, the bus ride into Berlin was comfortable but it takes three hour, they made a convenience stop and bathroom break half way. We had a great guide with lots knowledge about all the sites in Berlin. This tour includes the Brandenburg gate, Check Point Charlie, and the Holocaust memorial, a must see and other churches and museum, we even had time to shop and a quick lunch before a three hour trip back to the ship. Great experience a must see tour. Thank you Viator for offering this tour.

Everything went according to plan and was a great day out. The guide knew his stuff and made sure that we knew that a spade was a spade. The bus driver was good but could have picked a less crowded place for a comfort stop. All in all a very enjoyable day.

Though we only had about 5 hours in Berlin, we really felt that we experienced the city and saw so many historically significant sites. Our guide Christopher Taylor expertly managed our time, was extremely knowledgeable and informative. He also really made it fun and enjoyable, inserting his sense of humor -- striking just the right tone while taking about many dark moments in recent human history.

This was a wonderful experience. We had a great guide who filled us in on Berlin. The bus trip was long, but comfortable and we stopped going and coming for a bathroom break. I highly recommend it.

We had a great day in Berlin. Our guide Jonathan was extremely knowledgeable about German history including the hitler era. We covered a lot of ground including the Berlin Wall site and holocaust museum. The small group (20) was definitely the way to go. Thanks viator for setting this up

Excellent tour. Our tour guide was really knowledgeable and showed us all the highlights. A great way to see the city in a short period of time. Berlin has so much to offer it is difficult to see the sites in just 6 hours so getting the highlights was great

This was one of the best tours we have ever had. Our guide Boris was full of interesting history and his presentation was done in a way to make it fascinating instead of boring.

At first we were dubious about the long coach journey to Berlin itself but concluded that to make the trip from the UK would incur even more traveling plus waiting around in airports etc. We are so glad that we did this tour because in fact it was well worth it. The coach was comfortable with an appropriate stop along the way. The city is both historically thought provoking and wonderful but I believe made vibrant and so much more interesting by our guide Boris who was able to impart his extensive knowledge in laymen's terms. His personality and humour really made our day. The best tour guide we have ever encountered! We managed to pack in all of the main sites plus a bit more thanks to his insider experience. Yes it was a long day, but the journey back was restful and helped re-charge the batteries again.

This tour was great but too short, travel time 3 hrs each way! Would have rather spent extra time at the sites than the restaurant. It was a la carte and should be a fixed menu, spent too much time ordering to an overpriced menu! Our guide Boris was a treasure, very friendly and knowledgeable. It would be great if there was a video etc explaining what to expect in Berlin or the countryside as the drive was very long and boring. All that said it still is a tour to take, it's a great city with lots of sites. We had a sampling of East Berlin and would go back for more.

Berlin is quite a distance from the cruise port, but we decided to take this tour because it would probably be the closest we would ever get to that historic city. Of course, the ship excursion offerred pretty much the same itinerary but cost many, many dollars more. We're happy with our decision and have already recommended it to other travlers. Our guide, Jonathan, was an Israeli immigrant all set to get married to a German gal the following week. He was so knowledgeable and personable that my husband and I still make some joking comments about some of the things he said. Really, really enjoyed the tour, and felt great about tipping him instead of just that I guess I gotta do it... attituded.

What we felt was missing although tour discription clearly stated that this was the way it was was having a guide on the tour bus enroute to Berlin. Although the drive to Berlin is mainly on the freeway autobahn? with a large swathe of green woods and windmills flanking the way, a guide could have prepped us with historical facts and info on what we would be seeing. I think if the tour company had a good guide record this information and play it to the passengers enroute to the tour, that it would truly add much depth to the tour. In addition, Jonathan drew some diagrams in the sand to help us visualize what he was saying but it was hard for all of us to see and hear. He also showed us illustrations using his iPad a few times. What would have been better would have been some printed pictures. We've been on previous tours where the guide has a notebook full of laminated pictures to show to the group, and, well, iPads just don't work outside. We also could have used bluetooth headsets to hear him better. So, even with these criticisms, the tour was still great and Jonathan's shared knowledge made up for lack of visuals and sound.

There were 23 of us in the big airconditioned tour bus which was nice and comfortable. The drive from the cruise ship to Berlin was about 3 hours. When we got to Berlin, we picked up Nick Jackson our english speaking tour guide who is originally from London but now lives in Berlin for over 10 years now. He was nice, very knowledgeable, very professional. Excellent tour guide! Upon arrival to Berlin, we did the city tour of West and East Berlin, then stopped and walked to the Brandenburg Gate, Holocaust Memorial, The Berlin Wall from the East and the West and to Checkpoint Charlie. We had lunch at a local restaurant which served good food. Then our tour guide gave us a 30 minute time for souvenir shopping. Overall, I would rate it a 5 star because everything from start to finish was smooth and Nick Jackson was an excellent tour guide! For future tourist, bring a printed tour voucher to present to the tour bus. The tour was half the price what the cruise ship was charging for the same itinerary. Highly recommended!
