We booked a round trip shuttle van from airport to Princess Hamilton Hotel and Back through viator. Our driver, Mr.Wayne Perinchief, was very knowledgeable, friendly, very experienced and gave us a lot of great information about Bermuda in general. He was very prompt in receiving us as we came out of the airport and also on our way back from the hotel. I would highly recommend using his services when you visit Bermuda.
All of the logistics went very well. The culture, food, and people of Bermuda are outstanding. The hotel, Coco Reef was great as well. Can't wait to return.
Driver was extremely courteous. Was on time for both trips---from and back to the airport.
First class. Bermuda is beautiful, the people are happy friendly people always smiling. We loved it so much going to come vack again in September to same hotel. First class transfer service. Taxi waiting at airport on arrival and in plenty of time for leaving. Superb!!!
Finding the kiosk in the Bermuda airport was easy. I didn and #39;t get a designated driver, but a friendly local cabbie who works w Viator(?). My return trip, I had to call the transport place to find out when my pickup would be - since nobody offered/contacted me.
Zero stars for Viator as my name was NOT on the list of folks to be picked up at the airport. 5 Stars for the driver who was taking a couple 'on the list' to my hotel, told me to hop in, and would work out the glitch with Viator.
We had a great pick up from the airport and liked our driver. We were told they would call the hotel to schedule our return and did not. The bellman was able to track someone down in their office since we only got a recording. Not as smooth, but we did eventually get picked up on time.
Bermuda is beautiful and we had a great time. Transfers were another matter. No one at airport. No Kiosk.
Only way I got transport was that a driver was able to contact someone after about 30 min and get approval for the transfer.
I called for the return trip several days prior and someone immediately returned the call and set up a 12:00 pickup.
I was a little skeptical and called the day before, and day of the pickup, as well as an e-mail, to confirm the time . No
responses!!!! They did arrive, early even, and driver was great but their indifference left me with a bad taste.
Wouldn't do it again....Viator needs a new rep....Bee line for me next time.....
Bermuda Triangle Tours . . . well I think that says alot! LOL! Use local metered taxis.
The gentleman picked us up was there when our flight arrived our flight departure from MIA was delayed 30 minutes on June 7 he was pleasant, however, First - he threw my SOFTSIDE SUITCASE it's new into the back of the van, then threw my husbands HARD HEAVY SUITCASE ON TOP OF IT! He could have put my husbands next to mine plenty of room there were no other riders at 9:30PM . We did not say anything but were shocked by this. When I went to unpack, there was a SEALED tube of sunscreen BROKEN OPEN LUCKILY, it splattered all over the inside of a DOUBLE ZIP LOCK BAG I packed it in. Otherwise, the suncreen would have splattered all over the inside of the suitcase and my clothing.
The Day before departure June 11, I called Bermuda Triangle Tours and the gentlemen said he was picking us up at 6:00AM to take us to BDA from the Grotto Bay Beach Resort the resort is only 5 minutes to the airport - honestly you could walk there if you really wanted or had to. I explained to the gentlemen that the Concierge and Front Desk at Grotto Bay said it was not necessary to be picked up that early due to the very close proximity of the airport. We wanted to be picked up at 7:00AM. HE AGREED ad said it would be taken care of . . . However, at 6:15AM our phone rang and the Front Desk said they were there to pick us up. The driver told the Front Desk that he never received any new paperwork about the change in pickup time but he would be back at 7:00AM.
At 7:10AM no one had returned, the bell captain called them and arranged for us to get a taxi to BDA at no extra charge. It took 5 minutes to reach the airport. Also, regarding the charges for the Bermuda Triangle service - we were told by the Front Desk people, the concierge and the bell captain at Grotto Bay Beach Resort a metered taxi ride from then Zone 1 to BDA airport was never more than 10 - 12 not including a tip. So the charge of 55.00 round trip transfer is much too high for that location.
I paid $56.00 for my wife and I (with 2 carry-ons) to be shuttled from the airport to The Grotto Bay Resort hotel. The driver was professional and the ride itself was pleasant HOWEVER, I could've saved a boatload of money if I had taken a local bus (right outside the airport, 3 dollars per person), or a taxi (right outside the airport, 11 or 12 dollars one way). It's just that I had NO IDEA that the Grotto Bay Resort was about 5 minutes from the airport !!!! My wife and I couldn't believe how close our hotel was from the airport. You could literally WALK (although I don't recommend it). Spending $56.00 for a shuttle bus with 2 carry-ons was totally unnecessary for our financial situation. I would've rather spent that money on drinks or something to eat......To be clear, I am not criticizing the shuttle service. If I had to do it over, I would've saved at least 50 dollars with a 5 minute ride on one of Bermuda's clean and efficient buses.
A cab from the Airport to the hotel is less expensive than the Viator's van!
In the departure, the Viator's van came 20 minutes before. From the phone calls from the reception and the knocking on the door - we could not pack properly.
Vendor was not reachable to confirm return transfer to airport. Even though I had provided my return flight and departure time to the representative upon arrival, they informed the hotel that I would be picked up an hour after my flight was departing. Fortunately there was another family leaving at about the same time as us and we were able to fit onto the van.
DON'T BOTHER!!! THE TRANSFER COMPANY THAT VIATOR CHOSE TO PROVIDE MY TRANSPORTATION, 'BERMUDA TRIANGLE TOURS' STATED IN AN E-MAIL REPLY THE DAY BEFORE MY ARRIVAL IN BERMUDA THAT THEY WERE SORRY WE ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR YOUR FLIGHT. THERE WAS NO NAME GIVEN BY THE PERSON WRITING THE E-MAIL AND I WAS LEFT TO PAY FOR A TAXI AT BANK HOLIDAY RATE OUT OF MY OWN POCKET!!!
I WILL NOT RELY UPON THIS SERVICE EVER AGAIN!!!
Bermuda is great. The transfer from the airport was not. After picking up our luggage no one seemed to know where are pickup spot would be. No one knew of Viator. When we found the person for Bee line or a name like that as it was not on our voucher, the man took the voucher and arranged a taxi to take us to the hotel. Hopefully they will come to get us for our flight tomorrow. We will call them today when I find their number.
Pick up was smooth, although driver passed our hotel and we had to make U-turn. My return trip to airport was not so smooth. While the hotel had received communication that I would be picked up at 1155, the ride did not show up forgot me, apparently!. Finally at around 1215, the concierge called to see what was happening. I was picked up around 1225 and arrived to the airport much later than the airport requests, which was a bit stressful. The driver was on his mobile phone complaining that he usually does not work on Saturdays. Next time I will be taking a cab.
Bermuda Triangle tours did not pick me up for the airport this morning. The transportation was pre-paid, and the pick up time was confirmed by the tour company via e-mail 5 days before the pick up date. I was at the schedule location twenty minutes 20 prior to the scheduled pick-up time. I called Bermuda Triangle Tours --- 10, 15 and 25 minutes pass the scheduled pick up time to find out the problem. They only had recorded messages and did not return my calls. . I had to make alternate transportation and was very close to missing my international flight because of Bermuda Triangle tour company.
