What You Can Expect

Big Island Keauhou Bay Kayaking and Optional Snorkeling Cave Tour

Finish your tour with an exciting jump into the water

Travel to a launch point on the shore of Keauhou Bay after meeting your guide at the town of Honalo in the morning around 7:30a.m. Gear up with all the equipment you need, and set off into the calm waters in a kayak. No kayaking experience is necessary for this tour.

As you navigate south toward Kuamoo Bay, keep an eye out for local marine life, including spinner dolphins, sea turtles, and manta rays. Admire the gorgeous scenery of the rocky coastal cliffs and natural blowholes. Paddle in and out of sea caves, and explore ancient lava tube formations with a flashlight while your guide shares the stories of Hawaii’s volcanoes.

Drop anchor in a lovely protected cove, and put on a snorkeling mask and fins to explore the vibrant underwater world. Swim among intricate coral gardens to get a glimpse of electric-colored fish, turtles, eels, and stingrays. Replenish with chilled beverages and a snack back above the surface.

For an adrenaline-pumping finale, scramble up a rocky cliff, and gather your courage to jump into the deep bay water below. After soaking up the spectacular scenery and warm water, climb back in your kayak to return to the departure point, where your 3.5-hour tour concludes.

This adventure made our trip very memorable! We kayaked and snorkled with manta rays during the day (which is rare), kayaked 2 miles along the coast, learned history about the area, snorkeled in a cove, jumped off a cliff into the water, and kayaked back. An excellent workout and adventure!!!

We had a great time with Aloha Kayak! Our guide, Cricket, was a lot of fun and very knowledgeable about the area. He was really patient with our young girls and helped them quite a bit. Thank you for a great trip!

We had a great time kayaking. We saw dolphins, plenty of fish and even a small reef shark! Our guide was great and knew all about the area. They take care of everything including transporting the kayaks and lunch. One of the best kayaking adventures we have ever taken!
