Meet in front the ‘Bite Me’ sport fishing store at the Big Island’s Honokohau Harbor. You’ll continue by 46-foot (14-meter) boat to the marine life sanctuary of Kealakekua Bay, also home to the historic marker for seafarer Captain Cook. During the ride make to watch for views of the Big Island’s sea caves and volcanic lava flows.
Spend the next 45 minutes of your trip enjoying snorkeling amidst the area’s mix of vibrant reefs. Depending on where you go you might see creatures like sea turtles, coral, tropical fish, and much more. During the winter, Humpback whales have been known to frequent the area as well. Once you’re back up on deck, you’ll also learn about the historical significance of the area, known for its connection to British explorer Captain Cook.
Continue your trip by heading out to find the pod of wild spinner dolphins that frequents the bay. Those who selected the dolphin swimming package will then have the opportunity to jump in the water with these wild fish, a magical experience that is sure to delight. You’ll return back to the harbor at the conclusion of your trip.

Perfect weather, water warm, saw manta ray. Boat captain was good, first mate was knowledgeable about the area and what we would see.

We went to two different spots that each had distinctly different species of fish. It was very fun and interesting. In addition we saw a whale breaching on our way out to the first spot!! Kathy, they took is to a blow hole so we could see up close what it looks like and how the water is forced in and up to shoot out.
The crew was excellent! One even got an octopus so we could all see it and learn about it!
I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for this type of experience!

The crew was amazing and the reason they received three stars. It was not what was advertised we did not swim with dolphins, we did not go where the ad said we would go. There was no history tour. We were late getting out of the harbor because we were waiting for a party of 10. The highlight was seeing the baby reef sharks.

I booked and excursion, paid and received a confirmation. A day before excursion, by excursion was cancelled for “over booked”. 3 days to get refund and now all excursions are sold out. Fck your services.

Our family of five had a marvelous time! Kind and helpful guides who knew just where to take us and captured some great go pro video of turtles we saw that they shared with us. A highlight of the trip.

Fun day on the boat, not a good snorkeling trip

As others have noted, swimming with dolphins is not allowed in HI so that is not part of the trip. Was sad to find that out when we got there and not before. Had a fun day on the boat and the crew was friendly, but the snorkeling was pretty bad. Not many fish varieties and the coral was dull. We were told we were being taken somewhere better than Kealakekua Bay, but since it was bad and I've not been to Kealakekua Bay I'm left wondering. We snorkeled for maybe 30 minutes on the 4 hour tour. The waves and current were pretty bad. I understand that's part of being in the ocean but I expect the crew to be more attentive and proactive. Many swimmers had problems getting back to the boat and the crew had to swim them a rope.

It was great to see coral and fish, but we did not go to Kealakeua Bay as described, and were told when we got on board that they stopped including swimming with dolphins a few months ago. We instead went to 2 different stops that were not in a bay/calm waters which was ok for me, but some struggled with current. Enjoyed the trip and the crew were helpful, but wasn't what we expected - need to update the trip description on Viator.
