This Hilo shore excursion begins at the port when you’re picked up in the morning, and driven north towards Akaka Falls State Park and the Big Island’s Hamakua Coast. Over the course of the next three hours, you’ll not only learn about Hawaiian agriculture and sample some tropical fruits, but also experience a high flying adventure you’re sure to never forget.
Before you begin the zipline tour, your guide will offer a safety briefing and go over all the equipment, and answer any questions you have. Next, start out small on the first of seven lines, which gradually increase in length and grandeur until the final pièce de résistance — a spectacular, cheek-flapping 3,350-foot (1,015-meter) line that soars over a thundering waterfall.
Finally, having conquered the view of Kolokole Falls and zipped from ridgeline to ridgeline, the tour concludes and you’re driven back to port.
