Great way to see the Blue Mountains at an affordable price. Plenty of stops to choose from. It does include all of the highlights and popular areas.
We were hesitant at first to book a hop-on hop-off tour like this, but this was the best possible decision we could have made as we felt that this allowed us to see everything we wanted to see in a limited about of time we took the first bus going out and came back on the last bus. All three of the drivers who were working that day were very personable and gave great recommendations. The first driver I think his name was Jimmy spoke an impressive amount of languages and greeted ALL of the guests in their native tongue, Damien who we had the most during the day recommended that we not only stop at the Leura Cascades but not to rush it like we originally planned, but rather spend some time hiking further down, which we allowed us to see Bridal Veil Falls which was one of the most impressive water falls I've seen thanks to some rainy days leading up to our visit. When we were taking the train into town from Sydney we were very disheartened by the rainy and foggy weather, but we were really and it cleared up for us right when we got to the Three Sisters lookout and again when we made our second stop at Scenic World. My advice is if you have the time to take advantage of the unlimited rides at Scenic World and try to do the tram ride when the weather is nicer because it made a huge difference for us!
The Hop-on and Hop-off Bus is a very smart way to save money and time to see all of God's creativity of the Blue Mountains.
We're able to see most of the stops with a three day pass this is best deal for your money and you'll never be able to see all in one day. Our tour manager was polite and helpful with information to enjoy park the best. Scenic World was our highlight of the trip with many thrill rides with enjoyable screams I would say...
Unfortunately weather was not best for touring, however this tour is worth every cent. You certainly need the three days to see all the sights. Buses were punctual and drivers provided a wealth of information. Must visit Scenic World and make use of unlimited rides option.
Blue Mountains are certainly on my bucket list to visit again.......soon!
Perfect way to see Katomba with very friendly and informative tour drivers.
Easy pickups... drivers very passionate about what they showing us.
well worth the costs
This was brilliant and definitely a must if you are travelling to the Blue Mountains independently. We exchanged voucher right outside the train station and the bus stop was just across the road. The tour guide was very informative and even stopped the bus on a couple of occasions at beauty spots to give us a bit more detail about the history and some stories of the area. We included the Scenic World rides as well and we spent about 3 hours there - it was brilliant and beautiful. Definitely worth getting there as early as you can as it gets busy with the coach tours turning up about lunchtime. Fantastic day out highly recommend and one of our highlights from our trip to Australia.
I think the Hop-on Hop-Off trips are highly under-rated. This trip allowed MANY great stop choices - too many to use in one day. The drivers were always on time, helpful and some were even story-tellers. The coach was clean and comfortable with a great view on the top layer. The information provided in the extensive brochure was accurate and easily readable with a great layout. I highly recommend this as an option for next travels.
The overall experience was fantastic. The bus drivers are very knowledgeable and friendly. Not only they provided insightful descriptions of the attractions as we traveled along, but also they gave us many tips on saving time and effort. The brochure is very helpful as well. It has the most useful information including bus schedule, detailed description of the attractions, and must see locations by highlighting the corresponding bus stop. They also provided additional materials in different languages to help those tourists who do not speak English to navigate. The only recommendation I have is to hopefully extend the operating hour a little to 5:45 pm, for example.
Excellent tour! Great opportunity to tour the Blue Mountains. Highly recommend the Waradah Aboriginal Centre. Excellent performers and great representatives of Aboriginal peoples, culture, and history.
This was easy to use and saw so much more than previous bus trips to the area. The drivers were knowledgable and friendly. It was a great experience
We had a really great experience! Hop-On Hop-Off bus is the best choice if you want to decide by yourself were to stay how long but still want to have a guidance. The drivers are very kind and it's really fun to travel with them!
Good way to get to all the sites in the Blue Mountain area, especially for first timers as we were. The drivers were very friendly and knowledgeable, making good recommendations. They were also impressive with their multi-language greetings. Price is also good for what you can get out of it.
an excellent way to get around the blue mountains , the bus comes around every30minutes , you can even walk the distance between some stop and catch the bus after that . All the bus drivers are excellent guides very knowledgable and extremely helpful !! Tabitha helped us with our venture to view Leura's cascade , thank you Tabitha !!!
Great experience, incredible views and nice hikes. Hop on hop off bus was convenient hitting all the necessary stops. Friendly and knowledgable staff. Highly recommended
Thoroughly enjoyable, the bus drivers were very courteous at all times and informative through out the routes that was used during the three day pass.
Must do again.
Bus made it simple to get around the Blue Mountains. It has many stops at hiking sites we wanted to stop at and then could re-board the bus to get back to our hostel. Would definitely book the bus again!
Easy to use and get around Katoomba and the main sights. However, Nature did not cooperate with us, so we experienced the Blue Mountains in the drizzle and fog. Still had a good time exploring Scenic World and the trails. We also enjoyed the Waradah Aboriginal Centre's program.
The guide on the bus was very informative.
Had a great experience in the blue mountsins
Took the "Blue Mountain" Train route from Sydney (7:30 Departure - 2 Hours). The Blue Mountain "Hop on/ Hop off" office is located at the bottom of the stairs when exiting the train station (outside). Upon issuing the "Pre-Paid" voucher, I received my hop-on/ hop off bus documents within 5 minutes in which I then walked directly across the street/ waited in order to catch the 1st bus stop which was at 9:45 am. Around stop number 11, got off the bus to the "Scenic World Rides". I recommend taking the Train, Skyrail, Cableway rides prior to the rainforest/ trails due to the fact that there was no waiting in line in the morning; however, as some of the large tour busses arrived later in the day, there was a longer waiting time to ride these items. Took the rides and then did the scenic trails in which this is where you actually get the BEST pictures of the 3 Sisters, Blue Mountains, etc. Alot of walking in the trails; however, very peaceful walks and the views are worth the walk. Great Day! You can spend as little as a couple of hours at this location or several days to actually have time to complete all of the nature trails.
The bus is very convenient, and the driver are are friendly-- the first took a slight detour past our hotel to drop us off, which was very handy. There is a lot to see though and the hikes take time, we only took the bus a few times over the two days because most time is spent hiking. The buses stop relatively early so the first evening we had to rush back though there was plenty of light. During the peak season right around new years the buses run later to catch stragglers, but the timetables even the adjusted ones they provided during this time don't show this. Still all in all it was worthwhile just so we wouldn't worry about having to call a taxi and the possibility of poor cell reception.
