This was a great day! Both my husband and I enjoyed every stop: the parmigiano regianno producer, the prosciutto maker and the balsamic vinegar maker were all interesting visits to boutique type producers who have a passion for their craft. The tastings were delicious and generous and each offered their product for purchase at very reasonable prices. The Ferrari museum was fantastic and the four course dinner was out of this world. : Olga, our leader, was knowledgeable, friendly and well organized. The only concern I had initially was that their website advertised this as a small group tour of not over 14. There were 21 of us but it worked out fine. We recommend this tour to get a sense and taste of the region.
What a fun day we had on this tour. We learned so much about the food in the region, and the tour of the Ferrari factory was amazing. I would highly recommend this tour. It was a delightful day.
Excellent at every stop. Real educational tours, real yummy tastings. excellent driver and guide. It was a great day. The meal was unbelievable. Small group coziness, enabled us to meet some interesting cool people.
Fantastic day out ,picked up from our hotel at 8.00 by a very jovial bus driver and and a very knowledgeable guide called Max.
First of all we went to the Parmesan factory,Parma ham and balsamic factories, all very very interesting.
We had samples of cheese, ham and balsamic delicious ,I had wine my husband didn't as he wanted to do the Ferrari test drive .The test drive was absolutely amazing,my husband did not expect to be on the open roads ,what a buzz.Robert the co pilot was fantastic so much fun. Then it was back on the coach to to a stunning country house for lunch and copious glasses of wine. The food was amazing ,the staff very friendly. We were dropped off at our hotel at 5.30 after a very exciting day.The tour was exceptional value for money.Do this trip you will not regret it .
If you go on one tour in Italy, make it this one. What could be more Italian that going to parmigiano reggiano, prosciutto, and balsamic vinegar factories, then going to the Ferrari museum and taking a test drive? The food visits were amazing in their own right - you see how each of the products are made, from beginning to end, then get to taste various things and buy - with no pressure to do so. The Ferrari museum is fantastic, and I also took the opportunity to test drive one of the cars be warned - it's about 10 euro per minute to do so min. 10mins, but worth every cent!. We also had lunch included at a great restaurant and ate our way through five courses! Our guide was fantastic, and had lots of stories of both Bologna and the region. Highly recommended.
A jam packed day filled with great insight into many of the things that make these region so famous. A taste of Italy that we will remember for a long time.
We had an amazing time on this tour, it was the highlight of our time in Italy and we would strongly recommend it. The guide Massimo was fantastic, the lunch was amazing and the overall structure of food and then Ferrari was perfect. We did do the Ferrari test drive, another fantastic experience to round off the day - well worth the money spent as the crew at Ferrari Pit Stop are also great to deal with. This tour was amazing value for money!
Fantastic tour. Our tour leader and driver both Massimo, were great, knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. The three food stops for cheese, ham and vinegar were really interesting. My test drive of the Ferrari 458 was a personal highlight and all that capped off with a sumptuous luncheon feast at Casa Bianca. I would highly recommend this tour and is value for money.
Andrea and Olga were wonderful. Olga assisted in changing our pick up time, left me text messages and a written note of confirmation at our hotel. This was the best tour ever. Up close with everything unlike any tour in the US you have experienced. Andrea was an excellent tour guide, perfect English the company is lucky to have him. Our lunch was remarkable. Truly a 6 course lunch we were all in a food and wine coma on the drive home. My advice to you book early the trip sells out and it is worth every penny, great value for the dollar spent. Van accommodations and driver exceptional.
From alpha to omega this tour was incredible and to boot, our kids loved it. We fully recommend. If you do o lay one organized tour in Italy, then I suggest you do this one. Our expectations where high and the tour exceeded them. Many Thanks.
The Pollards, Canada.
Tour itself very well organized, interesting programme I would recommend to everyone who is passionate about Italian culture food and drinks. Olga was amazing tour guide very friendly and helpful, she was very attentive and took care about all group and each person as an individuall!!!
Outstanding! !! Kudos to Andrea!!! What a guide. It was an amazing day tour. Between the cheese, prosciutto, balsamic vinegar, and of course, the most wanted museum ...Ferrari ...the day was deliciously gone. Then..a fabulous and refreshing lunch ...no more to ask for.
An excellent tour. The tour guide Andrea was very professional and fun. The factories we visited was very nice. The tour was very informative and fun. The lunch was very good. My wife and I even test drove a Ferrari near the Ferrari museum in Maranello.
This tour was great lots of visits to different places the tour guide was funny warm and very knowledgable we had a small group of about 15 people.
The lunch was great six courses unlimited drinks lovely setting would definitely go again.
Fabulous!!! Wonderful visits to parmesan , prosciutto, and balsamic vinegars producers. Exciting ride in Ferrari! Delectable lunch-best of my whole trip in Italy- Small group, luxurious treatment, pick up and take back to hotel. 10 hours went soo fast!!! Bess day tour I've ever taken!!!
Being Italian, we typically do not do tours. We decided to do this tour since it visited places we wanted to go, but didn't want to be bothered with the drive. Andrea was our host for the most enjoyable day! This was absolutely the best day we could have imagined. Very well planned, the Parmesan factory was so informative and impressive. What a treat as well as the visit to the Modena vinegar and prosciutto factories. Great visit to the Ferrari museum. But the best was the 6 course delicious meal! Can not say enough about this tour, especially Andrea. He is one fantastic, informative, and special tour guide! Bravo Viator!
This tour was the best tour I have ever go .... very well organize , best things to see ... and wonderful lunch....
Excellent tour - our guide Olga was excellent, full of enthusiasm and information, not just about the food and Ferraris but the whole region. Fascinating visits to parmigiano, prosciutto, and balsamic vinegar producers: generous samples and no pressure to buy. Then off to Maranello for a visit to the Ferrari museum and tour round the outside of the Ferrari factory you can't go inside. After this you are taken to an excellent restaurant for a long, relaxed lunch with free flowing food of great quality and wine - no sense of being rushed or compromise in quality. The restaurant has its own fresh pasta lab where they show you how they make the various forms of pasta - amazing skill.
The tour is not cheap but represents excellent value for a full day and loads of great food and facts. Thoroughly recommended
This was the best tour my husband and I have ever done. Andrea, our tour guide, topped off the entire experience! The visits to learn and understand the process of producing parmesan cheese, prosciutto and balsamic vinegar were extremely interesting. The visit to Ferrari was amazing. Couldn't resist, had to do the test drive...zoom, zoom, zoom! Last, the lunch. Delicious and all the wine and beer you wanted. The length of the tour and each visit was just right. Never rushed. I would highly recommend this tour. Better than 5 stars!!!
This tour was amazing. They picked us up directly from our hotel which was great! Our tour guide was amazing! His name was Andrea Blasi. We were first taken to a place to see how Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese is made, then to a small family owned prosciutto factory, then to another family business where balsamic vinegar is made, then to the Ferrari museum, and then to a beautiful place for an amazing lunch. This was a full day activity and it was perfectly planned - we weren't rushed but at the same time the day absolutely did not drag on. Everything was so interesting. At all the places we went we got to taste the food and I have honestly never tasted better cheese, prosciutto, or balsamic vinegar. Our lunch was absolutely amazing. They were more than accommodating. We got to drink as much wine as we wanted they kept insisting on bringing more! and the food was perfect. They also brought out a second round of steak for us because we said how much we loved it! But really, our tour guide Andrea absolutely made the day as great as it was. He was so nice and friendly and he was really good with making sure we were getting good pictures. He offered so many times to take pictures of us which was very nice. You should definitely make sure you get him if you are going on this tour! Oh and there was wifi on the bus which was a nice addition.
Our guide Andrea was very informative and friendly. This tour is highly recommended for foodies and travelers who want to experience the best of Italy.
We had a superb day with a superb guide, Olga. There were 9 of us in a comfortable minibus. We visited family run businesses producing parmesan, prosciutto and balsamic vinegar. We then went to the Ferrari museum and I paid for a 10 min drive in a Ferrari California. Then we had a beautiful lunch in a village restaurant. I can thoroughly recommend the day and the city of Bologna.
Brilliant. Guide was very personable and informative. The locations extremely interesting and fascinating. A real eye opener. The food was glorious. And Ferrari was spectacular.
