Tour cancelled last...
Christina_T, Apr 2022
Tour cancelled last minute with no offer to reschedule. I'm sure it's a solid experience but it was frustrating to have planned around that (with very late dinner reservations to accommodate and foregoing other planned activities) and then have it cancelled without any plan other than refund. Our time here is precious and we want to spend it well.

Need REFUND, Cancelled On Us!
Zenobia_B, Apr 2022
The tour operator cancelled on the day of with an obvious refund, but I haven’t received any refund or message. It’s been 3 weeks, and I’ve called to complain- they insisted the operator hasn’t responded and they have to keep trying to contact them. I can’t believe they haven’t refunded me after ruining an experience. You cannot steal money! REFUND the charge!

I usually don't share...
Octavia_S, Mar 2022
I usually don't share reviews but felt I need to share my experience for the solo travelers. I booked 2 excursions through Viator for my once in a lifetime trip to Bora Bora to celebrate my military retirement. First tour was good. I didn't think anything about it when I was notified of the time change. When my 2nd tour was canceled I began to wonder. Hours prior to my tour I received this message "Thank you very much for your booking but we need to cancel our tour tonight, we are so sorry, the problem is about our unique guide for that tour he get the covid, he have positive test , that’s why we need to cancel the tour and you will have a full refund from us …Thank you and take care of yourself…". I could be wrong but I feel they most likely didn't want to make a trip for just one person. Which also led me to think my time was changed to accommodate the time that the couple chose for my first tour. I would have gone on the trip with any guide, English speaking or not. I would have taken a guide that doesn't talk. This was my last evening on island and I wanted to end it on a special note. It was too late to make any other arrangements. This is my observation and I could be wrong. It would have been nice to be extended some sort of different option.

Iaorana Mr Octavia, Please receive all our apologies for the cancellation, we are very sorry that our unique guide get covid, a virus that we can not control even if he's vaccinated. Please Mr Octavia when you written "they most likely didn't want to make a trip just for one person", yes we don't do the tour for 1 person, we don't make money but we stay professional you know why because we always tried to plan this person for a day where there's someone, you are not the 1st person who have do this tour alone, and normally you suppose to be 5 people on 27th of march, and please Mr Octavia, check at what time the mail was sent, you have time to do anything else please Mr Octavia, stay fairplay thank you.. But I would like to say you thank you for your negative comments. That makes sense, for our future customers. We understand you, and we are totally agree with you that we should have an option if something wrong happening, thank you very much for the proposal... Thanks to you Mr Octavia, we will add this option for our future customers...Thank you so much and take care of yourself Mr Octavia--

Five Star (gazing) Fun!
Lawrence_P, Dec 2020
This was one of our honeymoon activities. I'm a big fan of the sunset cruise and wouldn't have picked this if not for my wife. Turned out to be one of the coolest experiences we did. The sunset was awesome, we saw some baby sharks swimming around, our guides were knowledgeable and funny. The stargazing was equally great. Would easily recommend to everybody! Nicholson was our guide - you'll be in luck if you have him!

A Dream Come True
Prof18, Feb 2020
What a delightful evening thanks to our guide, Cy, and the two young men who served as his crew and entertainment. Their beautiful voices harmonized as they sang Polynesian melodies with the accompaniment of a ukulele. Cy was entertaining when he shared legends about Bora Bora as we watched the sunset from our outrigger boat with just 10 passengers. Finger sandwiches and beverages were served as we listened. Cy was knowledgeable and informative when he talked about the stars and constellations from the top of the motu which was in total darkness but we became concerned when it started to rain. Cy said we should enjoy the shower which would be brief and the sky would clear featuring the stars at their brightest. He was right! We had the opportunity to view the Southern Cross and the Milky Way which was so exciting. We strongly recommend this excursion. It was the highlight of our cruise to the South Pacific islands.

Lots of stars
OTaylor_P, Feb 2020
We had a long comfortable ride to the spot from which we were to view the sunset. Clouds set in so we didn’t get a great sunset, but the ride out was lovely. Then we went to a small island to look at the stars, and we saw lot of them. They were spectacular.

Very nice and a great way to see island from the bay. The star gazing was great(need a couple of flash lights for the walk back to boat. There are a number of steps to get to the star viewing area. Would very much recommend.

Stargazing in Bora Bora

Excellent tour & lagoon cruise. Crew entertained us by singing. When at the stargazing view site, using a laser we were shown various stars and constellations. NOTE: MUST WALK UP MANY STAIRS TO GET TO VIEWING SITE Crew knowledgeable and helpful.

Lots of Stars
MWG1818, Oct 2019
Great trip! We had to take a hotel shuttle boat to the main island where we were picked up in a van and taken to the dock to catch our stargazing tour. Turned out to be a private tour as our party of 4 were the only stargazers that evening. We all enjoyed wine, prepared snacks, and live music as we watched the sunset and headed to a private island for an evening of stargazing. Our guide used a laser pointer and iPads to point out the constellations and told us stories about the early Polynesian travelers. Highly recommend if you like looking at stars.

Thank you for your kind words. We are glad that you enjoyed our service while you're in Bora Bora.. We are looking forward to welcoming you soon again.
Relaxing Boat Ride and Star Gazing
Stephanie_L, Sep 2019
After being picked up at our hotel we had a relaxing boat ride to the edge of the reef where we enjoyed bubbly, beers, and appetizers while we watched the sunset. As the sun dunked into the ocean we headed to Rohivai Island to stargaze. There was a bathroom at the base of the stairs before a quick climb to a beautiful view of the lagoon. We sat in chairs as our guide pointed out constellations before heading back to our hotels. Highly recommend this tour.

Canceled due to weather
Lorena_D, Jul 2019
I’m awaiting my refund. Wish the weather would have allowed me to take this tour. It was postponed twice before I had to leave. I had to call from the hotel to see if it would still hold but they said to email them to get my refund. I didn’t get confirmation that it was refunded. Hopefully they will get back to me today.

Our guide is very friendly and professional. He's also well acknowledged about Tahiti history and gave us many interest facts about the islands. We had a very good time with him. It's worthy.

Suzanne M, Feb 2018
A bit of bubbly, a few small snacks, amazing live music and great history of the Polynesian culture equals a fantastic voyage! Our guides were fun and kept our interests up for 3 hours. It was a bit cloudy that evening so the iPad star gazer app was a great way for us to see the stars that were used for the Polynesian people to navigate.

You get a little bit of everything: boat, sunset, star gazing, live music, snacks, drinks, and a bit of history with a great story teller. If you aren't familiar with constellations, they have tablets to help guide your way through the night sky. The entire team was great but Jango was a standout.

Hilary_M, May 2017
I just came back from trip to Botra Bora. I went with my daughter. We booked the stargazer excursion. It was excellent. Our trip guides were outstanding, especially Jingo! You will learn a lot about the history of navigation by the stars, and if your lucky and it's a clear night, be enchanted with the stars.and constellations. The boat ride with champagne was fun. Dress with shoes for walking up some very big steps, on the motu island where you will go to see the stars.

This trip was AWESOME. One our favorites our whole time in French Polynesia. We were picked up and started to drive towards sunset while our guide, George, gave us information about the islands and history. Then we were able to take pictures and George was a great photographer and took photos of all the couples there were only three of us so it was a very intimate trip. After that - off to a very small little island where we heard more history and waited for the stars. We were all given iPads with Sky Map to see what constellations were up. There was also refills on champagne and snacks on the boat! Such a special trip!
