What You Can Expect

Small-Group St Emilion Half-Day Trip from Bordeaux

Discover the vineyards of St Emilion on your half-day trip

Meet your guide and climb into an air-conditioned minivan to begin your half-day trip to Saint-Emilion from Bordeaux. Enjoy the scenery out the windows as you travel to this beautiful town, named for an 8th-century Breton monk. It was his followers who first began growing grapes and making wine in this area, now one of the most famous wine-growing regions in the world.

Stop along the way to Saint-Emilion at a grand cru winery to sample some of the local wines and see the beautiful chateau.

Join your guide for a 45-minute walking tour of Saint-Emilion, learning more about this historic village, and then enjoy free time to explore the town at your leisure — including any shopping you might want to do and time to get some lunch (own expense). If you haven’t had enough of the region’s famous wine, you can also stop into one of the many wine cellars in Saint-Emilion for another wine tasting before climbing back into the minivan for the return trip to Bordeaux.

We learned much more about winemaking than on prior forays in Italy and California.

The tour itself was very very good. The venues the guide took us excellent particularly the wine tasting in St Emilion.
BUT VIATOR fell down by not even telling us which Company we would be with. Not on our ticket anywhere. Very poor information on Viators part.

This is a great company to tour with. Our guide was personable and knowledgable and the interactive media presentations on the coach was great. Being able to access wifi on the coach is a real plus.

Karim was our guide for this half day tour and it was great! While it may seem expensive for a short trip it is most definitely worth it and a visit to the Aquitaine/Bordeaux region simply isn't complete without a visit to wine country. We are relatively novice to the world of wine appreciation but at no point were made to feel inadequate. We enjoyed the bus tour of the region, learning much about the process and history of wine making. St Emilion is simply beautiful and the wine tasting with Bruno was great fun - be prepared to part with your cash however - too hard to resist.
Thanks so much Karim.
