Fantastic tour! The guide and driver was simply excellent.
From beginning to end, he provided facts, knowledge and history about Boston and then later Cambridge, Lexington, and Concord.

A great way to hear the story behind the beginning of the revolution. Having visited Boston almost every year for over a decade, it was refreshing to leave Downtown Boston, and visit the actual sites where the battles happened. The tour guide provides interesting historical stories along the way. Just a shame there was a huge snow downpour the weekend before my tour ... so didn't get to see much greenery on the battle fields. So avoid the cold of winter!
This was awesome. We learned a lot and it was drizzling almost the entire day but it didn't ruin the tour at all. The guide was really knowledgeable and if you love American History, this is where its at.
We had used Viator before in San Francisco and found them to be good. Visiting Boston we had not much time so booked the half day tour again through Viator. This turned out to be as good as before. We were picked up from a hotel in Quincy and experienced a bit of a delay due to the traffic but all went well once we were underway. Thankfully the weather was bright and sunny so we could explore Lexington a bit. We had time for tea and scones at the cafe close to where we were dropped off which was welcome after our early start. Then off to Concord where we followed in the footsteps of the fallen British soldiers who fought in the battle of Lexington. The visitor centre is an interesting place the movie is worth watching and take in the view with its trees to reminded me of some typical English country areas except the leaves seemed much brighter with some great red shades amongst the green and yellow.
Tony our guide was an excellent speaker. I heartily recommend this tour which drops you off at Quincy market. You can extend it into the afternoon to see Boston but we had no time and also had done this before.
It was so beautiful traveling part of the route that Dawes, Revere and Prescott took. My grandson 17h, a history buff was so moved to be standing where the American Revolution began! He said, You can read it in a book but where you're there, history comes alive! The leaves were beautiful, too. So much history in such a small area. We learned interesting facts about Paul Revere and the other Patriots. Our guide Jake was amazing.
Tony was fun, knowledgeable and pretty incredible. I loved the story telling and all the places we've visited. Thank you for being flexible and helpful :
Excellent tour, our guide Tony was funny, informative, and a great bus driver, we felt very safe with his driving.
We were picked up at hotel. driven to the place to catch the bus for our tour, this driver gave us a mini tour of Boston on the way. Then we transferred to the tour bus and off we went. The driver was very good knowledgeable and interesting. Several stops where we got off to see the sites with the guide making sure we knew what time to be back at the bus.
Our guide was Tony, and he was excellent! Lots of history, insights, and a great sense of humor, he recommended that we try the root beer in Buckman's Tavern/gift shop, and it's a must!
This was an excellent tour for me as a first time traveler to the Boston area. The tour guide/driver was very knowledgeable and it was clear that she thoroughly enjoyed sharing the history of the area with us all. We were blessed with a little rain toward the end of the tourn but it was a a beautiful day. I recommend this tour to anyone who has not been to these areas and also to those who would like the insight of the conditions men and women went through in striving for independence.
We loved our tour through the countryside to see Cambridge, Lexington, and Concord. Our bus driver was very knowledgeable and shared wonderful information with us about history and the area.
I'm a history buff so this tour was wonderful. Lexington and Concord are gorgeous so that adds even more awesomeness here. Standing on the spot where the shot was taken that was heard around the world, chilling. And the bridge where the first red coats fell, it really makes you ponder and think about how this great nation was started.
I have taken this tour several times now, all with the same driver Brian and it is fantastic. The tour is full of American history and is well worth the time to take this tour, I will be taking it again next year for sure.
This was my first time on a bus trip. It was fabulous. 1st I was picked up at a nearby hotel and driven into Boston. Extremely convenient for me, 1/2 mile from my home. The driver had a terrific personality and a lot of humor, which I certainly enjoyed. At this point I thought to myself, what a wonderful way to start my day. He had everyone on the bus laughing during the entire ride into Boston.
Next, we were transferred to another bus. The bus driver took us on a wonderful trip, explaining EVERYTHING. This driver had an enormous amount of knowledge and facts, which she enjoyed sharing. The entire trip she had information to share with us. If anyone had questions she was quick with the answers. She amazed me as she drove with great comfort around the streets in Cambridge and later in Boston. I felt she had completed reading a 1200 page history book and was reciting every page to us in a short period of time.
Everyone listened intently as if history were unfolding in front of us.
A plus all around. I look forward to many trips in the future with VIATOR.
Excellent tour. But would recommend doing the full day tour as it adds more of the Boston sights to the day.
The best part of the trip was the guide, he was very knowledgeable and great at giving the history of the area in an entertaining way. We did miss seeing some things in Cambridge because there was a race the day of our tour, but our guide was able to point out interesting things on the new route.
It was a fun relaxed trip and Pat our driver was full of interesting stories and a good navigator !!!
Excellent! Easy and relaxing bus ride. Friendly and knowledgeable bus driver. Beautiful roads through MA with stops in Lexington and Concord. 1/2 day tour ends at Faneuil Hall for lunch. We ate at the Green Dragon Tavern. This half-day tour is well worth your time and money, especially if you're interested in the Revolutionary War, and details that preceded it.
This was an amazing experience Pick up and drop off were perfect. The driver Frank was so knowledgeable about the history of Boston and the USA and was passionate about it, He made the day really interesting. Visiting the places where the Revolutionary War was fought was awesome. The coach wa air conditioned and very comfortable and there were lots of photo stops. Highly recommended!
We learned a lot on this tour. Our tour guide Frankie, is very knowledgeable and entertaining. He explained key facts, locations and dates and events well. I took many notes and quizzed our kids in the evening. I was pleased to see how much information they retained from this tour. Thanks Frankie!

This tour was fantastic. Everything we saw was outstanding, however the absolute highlight of the trip was the Tour Guide Frankie. He was totally knowledgable about the history of Boston, the surrounding areas and the Revolutionary War.
Please pass this message on to his company Brush Hill tours and Gray Line of Boston so that he can get proper recognition.

Our tour guide was prompt in picking us up and very knowledgeable about the history of the area. He was quite engaging with our questions and when he didn't know the answer he told us so. It was a perfect day.
Our guide was a wealth of information on the history, geography and architecture of Cambridge, Lexington and Concord, very informative but not pedantic, and we saw a wide range of sites on this tour. I would recommend it highly as an overview of what to see in the area, and then you can go back and spend more time on your own, wherever you wish. Excellent value for money and a comfortable tour bus.
