What You Can Expect

Boston Brewery Tour plus Lunch or Dinner

Copper Container for Brewing

Get to know Boston’s thriving beer scene on these guided morning and evening brew tours. Chat with brewery owners and learn about the equipment used to make beer, the brewing process and best of all, what the different kinds of beer taste like — up to 18 of them, in fact.

On the Original Brew Tour, also known as the morning tour, meet the guide in downtown Boston, then hop in a bus and travel to four Boston breweries. Learn about the different types of beer as well as the history and specialty of each brewery. Among the possibilities are Samuel Adams, Cambridge Brewing Company, Night Shift Brewing, Mystic Brewery, Downeast Cider House or Beer Works.

Samuel Adams is a well-known brewery with a long history of various types and styles of craft beer. Cambridge Brewing Company is the oldest brewpub in the greater Boston area, serving fresh handcrafted beer. Night Shift Brewing is a craft brewery featuring a taproom with communal tables and an assortment of barrel-aged beers. Mystic Brewery is a craft brewery dedicated to brewing distinctly regional beer. And Downeast Cider House is New England’s craft cider headquarters.

All tours end at The Meadhall, a spacious gastropub with a large craft beer and mead selection, plus American bar fare. Get a private tour and enjoy lunch with a beer.

The evening tour focuses on nanobrewing, producing beer in batches of three barrels or smaller. Nanobreweries currently account for nearly 10 percent of the nation’s craft breweries. This tour may include Idle Hands, Boston’s first nanobrewery, as well as Beer Works, Night Shift Brewing, Mystic Brewery and/or Cambridge Brewing Company.

Both tours conclude in downtown Boston.

This was a really great tour! Nate was entertaining and very knowledgeable about beer but also about the city itself. All the places we visited had a great selection of beers and ciders definitely drank ALOT of beer and cider today they don't skimp out on the amount. And the meal we had was delicious!

I was hesitant about the cost of the tour per person but it was well worth it and I will look to do it in other cities that I visit in the future.
