Great way to experience the city! Learned a little history and had a great tour guide as well!
Friendly guide who knew hes way around Boston! Great experience.
The Pizza was great, the Taverns were great. Our guide Sean had a lot of historical knowledge to pass on to us. It was a lot of fun.
Jimmy was fantastic, funny and very informative. He knew his history, which made it even more enjoyable! Even though it rained in the beginning, the sun did shine. This tour was a great way to learn some amazing history about Boston and taste good pizza at the same time.
My children and I loved this tour! It was great to hear the history of the North End and eat at three different Pizza Restaurants and a couple of pubs. We went back to one of the places the next day for pizza and pastries! I would definitely recommend this tour if you are interested in the history of Boston and the good food in the North End.
Jimbo was fantastic and he was funny and in wonderful sports even though it was just slightly raining. Our group was small so it provided a better experience. Not only did we taste good pizza but we learned some amazing history about Boston. Hi Jimbo's mom :- !!!
We really enjoyed this tour. The pizza was fab and Jimbo was a great guide; informative without being dry. The walk in the early evening was really pleasant and we felt as though we packed a lot into a short time.
Great day with good group. Plenty to eat and drink and useful info to fill in the walks . Tour guide was very relaxed and we ran over time which just added to the fun
Great group and great tour. Hostess Nicole was very informative and also very relaxed as we ran long. Plenty to eat and a variety of Taverns to visit and buy drinks. Right amount of walking between stops and even a sunset ferry trip - which was not supposed to be at Sunset: One of those magic days you don't really want to end. Surprising amount of historical information provided as well . Best tour of its type I have done
Great tour, Martin was a great tour guide with a lot of great history and stories about the North End, Charlestown and Old Ironside. The Pizza was great we are from Chicago and so we know Pizza pretty well and the Taverns historical and fun to visit. This tour is a must see when you are visiting Boston. Great tour for all ages. Very Highly Recommended!
I really enjoyed this tour. The guide sorry I forgot his name was very enthusiastic and you could tell he loved Boston. The pizza was great and you even got to eat outside. I was a solo traveller and there was also a family and we all had a great time. I would recommend this tour as great value for money and so enjoyable
The pizza 3 were all good. The third one won a major prize last year and we could taste why. The three taverns visited all had good, different local brews. This tour provided a very good introduction to the Italian section of Boston and a few highlights of local lore and history. The tour guide was knowledgeable and clearly stated his opinions.
We were the only people on the tour and had tickets for Elvis Costello that night so we cut the tour short. Guide was good and crammed as much as possible into the time we had with him.
Our guide was very friendly and informative. We ate three cheese pizzas. I would rather have had something besides just cheese pizza. We did a lot of walking and visited several taverns. Our guide also gave us good information on other restaurants to go to. I would recommend this tour and our tour guide to other people who visit Boston.
We had a great time! Learned a little history about Boston had some great pizza and enjoyed the skyline of Boston while on the ferry.
What a great way to combine a history lesson with slices of Little Italy pizza! Martin was a very enthusiastic and knowledgeable tour guide. We felt like we saw quite a bit of the Old North End and Charlestown areas, walking quite a bit of the Freedom Trail and all the sights there. Each slice of pizza was very tasty, however, two of the three slices were plain cheese pizza... for the price of the tour, I would expect more toppings on the pizza.
There was about 4 miles of walking . It was cold out and we had to eat our pizza outdoors at the first stop. Only cheese pizza was served . Maybe I'd be more positive if the weather had been better . Also I wouldn't recommend going on a Friday night . The pizza shops are too busy then . We did enjoy the tour and narration .
This was not really what we thought. The Taverns part of the tour was one tavern and you have to buy your beer in addition to the cost of this ticket. The description said we would end up at either The Bell in Hand or The Green Dragon. Not sure what one only one Tavern we went to but it was a nice place. The pizza was cheese pizza 2 places and one BBQ chicken pizza. Not really that impressive. The ferry ride back to where we started was a nice touch though.
