Upon arrival in Falmouth, it’s off to the Island Queen Dock to board the ferry (ticket included) to Martha’s Vineyard. For an introduction to the island, an optional tour is available. Visit the Gay Head Light, an iconic island lighthouse in Aquinnah. Travel through the beautiful historic village of Edgartown and learn about the area’s history from a guide.  After the tour, you have free time to continue to explore the island on our own.

Board the ferry for an afternoon departure and leisurely cruise back to Falmouth, where a return shuttle awaits to complete this great island experience. Water and a light snack is provided on the trip back to Boston and your designated hotel.

The trip was informative but the driver could have been more entertaining. We ate at Linda Jeans restaurant and would highly recommend. We had Boston Cream Pie and it was excellent!

This was an amazing trip. The beauty of New England is difficult to describe. The tour was perfect size, the drivers were spectacular (the driver that took us to the ferry and the drive on the island(. The history of Cape Cod and the beauty of it all. Recommend to all!

Great Day Trip!

I really enjoyed the ease of this trip. After you pay for it, all you have to do is show up at the pickup location. The bus driver had muffins and bottled water in the morning, and bags of chips with bottled water on the way back. The driver drops you off at the ferry and explains everything very clearly on what to do and what time to be back at the ferry. The driver also tells you what to do should you have any questions while there or if you miss the ferry on the way back. Call Steve! My friend and I decided to be on our own rather than to buy the offered tour of the island. We had no problems filling the free 6 hours. We had a great meal, shopped, and took pictures of the Gingerbread houses. I'd definitely recommend this trip to anyone interested in going to Martha's Vineyard.

Thank you for taking the time to write this GREAT 5 Star review of our Martha's Vineyard day trip. Your detailed description of our trip is perfect! Our goal on this trip is to provide Boston visitors or locals a safe and easy way to get to Martha's Vineyard from Boston. Since I started this company with one bus back in 2011 that is what we consistently have done. We were the first company to offer a trip to Martha's Vineyard (Boston's "ORIGINAL" Martha's Vineyard day trip). Copycats have come and some have gone but we have remained Boston's #1 option to the island since we began! Just ask any Boston concierge or the Visitor's Bureau (people that know Boston and are located here)!! I am happy to hear that you had such a great day on the island! Your RECOMMENDATION IS GREATLY APPRECIATED! If you are ever back in Boston be sure to take one of our other excursions! All you have to do is call Steve! Kind Regards, Stephen M. Belcastro President New England Trips Inc.

Easy pick up and drop off from our hotel. We had a very friendly and knowledgeable driver in Keith who had to put up with some silly questions from some members of our group and had the patience of a saint. We enjoyed Martha’s Vineyard but a lot of the shops were closed for the season so perhaps the tickets should be discounted to reflect this. Anthony gave a good tour of the island although it was a little difficult to hear him at some times over the engine noise. I would thoroughly recommend NETs and this tour.

Thank you for the 4 star review of our Martha's Vineyard day trip. Keith is a true professional as are all of our guides. Martha's Vineyard is a very seasonal island and most shops do close before our trip ends for the season on October 30th. We do run specials at different times throughout the year for trips booked for any dates April through October. Your recommendation is greatly appreciated. Kind Regards, Stephen M. Belcastro President New England Trips Inc.

The trip to Martha's Vineyard was well worth it, we had a fantastic day, our driver Keith was efficient and got us to Falmouth from Boston and return in good time. We travelled in the fall and the sights were amazing with all the beautiful changing colours. The Vineyard is more than beautiful with plenty to see and do on a day trip - Tom our tour guide was fantastic, very entertaining and although most of his stories were highly embellished they were great listening. I would recommend doing the 3hr bus tour once you get on the island as you get to see so much. I do however have one serious complaint that spoilt the end of the trip for us and the rest of the bus tour - Tom left 2 young girls at one of the stops, it was a vantage point for photo's and clearly these girls were photographers, he wouldn't wait, he didn't look for them and at first we thought he was joking when he drove off saying he had left them - we realised by the next stop he had in fact left them and wouldn't return to pick them up even at our request. when we boarded the ferry back the girls had just made it to the Marina by themselves but the boat was already leaving, so they missed the return ferry, the return bus and was now left with a 75mile journey back to Boston, the girls were literally 5mins over time and no one was moaning about this, at the end of the tour we still had a spare 3hrs leisure time, so waiting an extra 10miins wasn't ruining the tour for anyone - We found this to be completely unacceptable and as I said previously spoilt the last leg of the tour.

Thank you for the 4 star review. Fall is a beautiful time of year all throughout New England! I am pleased that you enjoyed Tom's tour as he certainly is a phenomenal tour guide. Tom and our island tour partners have very strict guidelines regarding waiting for guests that do not arrive back to the bus in the allotted timeframe. Tom usually waits an extra 10 minutes from the time he tells guests to be back. We used to have continuous problems with guests arriving back 15-20 minutes late. It got to the point where guests were complaining (with good reason) that it was cutting into their free time at the end of the day. I believe that Tom is very specific regarding his departure time and does state that he is in fact leaving at that time. All of our guests must take into account hat this is a shared tour and not a private tour. I sincerely appreciate your concern regarding this matter. Perhaps it is something that needs to be addressed again during our offseason. Again, my thanks for the review and spending your day with New England Trips! Sincerely, Stephen M. Island of Serenity

, Oct 2019
We visited Martha's Vineyard on 23rd October, when everything was practically shut and there were very few tourists. So it was LITERALLY an Island of Peace and Serenity. We were lucky to have booked the 3 hour island tour, otherwise we would have been bored at Oak Bluffs, since it was mostly deserted. The 3 hour bus tour with Anthony was good. Anthony was enthusiastic and gave a lively commentary.

Thank you for the 4 star review. Being a summer island destination in New England, it certainly is the off season for Martha's Vineyard. That doesn't mean that you can't still enjoy your time there. Our last day of our tour season is October 30th so I'm glad that you got your trip in while we were still operating. On most occasions this time of year, our guests are happy just to be given the opportunity to say they went to Martha's Vineyard. Thanks for joining us! Sincerely, Stephen M. Belcastro President New England Trips Inc.
