New England in the fall is, without question, one of the most beautiful places in the world. Autumn here means glorious foliage, as billions of leaves change from green to a breathtaking array of beautiful fall colors, strewn across the many hillsides and valleys of the region. The gorgeous scenery coupled with the crisp, cool air of the season makes this the perfect time for getting out and seeing the sites.

Begin with a Boston hotel pickup in a climate-controlled coach, then head out to enjoy the colors of the countryside, complete with the many experiences that make fall so special. The still waters and open fields amid rolling hills and winding roads. The old farmhouses, churches, taverns, and white-painted Colonial inns. Roadside markets piled high with fresh, crunchy apples and plump, orange pumpkins. Bring a camera and an appetite for the beauty of the season — and maybe a bagel — because there’s a coffee break in historic Groton, Mass.

Pass Willard Brook State Forest, a Massachusetts state park with deep woods, plus a covered bridge, a waterfall, and a babbling brook. Not to mention endless recreational opportunities like hiking, biking, fishing, and swimming. There’s more — a small park and church at Ashby Common and a buffet lunch (included) at a restaurant in the mountains of New Hampshire.  And last but not least, there’s a local farm stand complete with a farm store and beautiful grounds.

Now that’s a tour of the fall that has it all, in one of the most beautiful autumn destinations in the world.

Note: This tour is seasonal, operating from September through October only.

Poor. Waited in the bus in Boston before starting for over 2 hours for another party, stuck in traffic elsewhere, to join our party. So the tour was cut short for our return on scheduled time. The trip itself was very poor. A total waste of money and time!!

Enchanting New England...

The countryside is breathtaking, and the tour showcases that very well. All arrangements, from the initial communication through to pick-up, the breaks and the drop-off, were managed very professionally. Bill, our driver and guide, was the perfect mix of discipline, kindness and entertainment. The only dampener (quite literally) was that it rained through a large part of the day. But, c'est la vie, I guess...

Poor Weather...Fun Day

The weather was very poor on sunday, october 27 and it rained throughout the day. That really limited the amount of pictures we could take, in fact we didn't get off the bus at a few stops. Brian the driver was great. He didn't over-talk the tour which i've experienced before. The lunch was EXCELLENT! It was so good that I did a seperate review for the lodge.

Autumn in New England: Fall Foliage Sightseeing Day-Trip with Lunch from Boston

Great tour. I was a little hesitant about booking this tour due to some of the online reviews I had read. From my first meeting with the tour operator at their office location on the morning of my tour I was immediately put at ease. Brian was our driver and host for the day and was fantastic, lovely easy manner and funny. Lunch was great, choice of Chicken or fish & for those who wished you could have both, plenty of food and no one on our tour left feeling hungry. The only negative was the weather but no one can control the rain.

The trip was everything that we wanted. The driver/trip guide was excellent. She was very informative and entertaining. She possibly shared a little too much and many personal, family stories. Overall, she was delightful and provided many educational facts.

It is a fall foliage tour, not a breakfat and coofee tour. For seeing the fall foliage they just stop at 2 places, the other 2 places they stopped was one for breakfast and one for showing a covered bridge. what is so great in seeing an old cover bridge. They should have more fall foliage stops even if it means stopping at places which are not as per the schedule, because we are going to see something which is unpredictable and sometimes we did not stop at the most beautiful stops, over very disappointed with the tour, total waste of money

Fall Foliage Tour with Cindy
Jerry H
, Oct 2019
Cindy was our driver/guide for our Fall Foliage Tour on October 17, 2019. Based on our experience, we would NEVER recommend anyone take a tour with Cindy!! She was late for the pick up at the Transportation Center, she got lost several times and had to reroute which caused us to be 90 minutes late for the lunch stop. She talks incessantly about her family, her favorite movies, her previous jobs, but not about the fall foliage or the country side. Upon our arrival back to Boston, Cindy announced that she would only be dropping off at a few locations because it was late and she still had to drive an hour to the bus barn and then another hour to her home. People were told to get off and walk to their hotel and that it would not be a problem. We were supposed to be dropped off at the Seaport Hotel. Instead, Cindy dropped us off at Long Wharf and we had to take a taxi at our own expense to get back to the hotel. Cindy was rude, unprofessional, and not at all concerned about the people on her bus. If you want to take the Fall Foliage Tour, try to find out who the driver is and never take the tour if Cindy is the driver.
