Fall on Cape Cod: Day Trip from Boston with Sightseeing Cruise

Cape Cod

This tour begins with a convenient hotel pickup for those staying in downtown Boston. All others, plan to meet the tour in Hyannis Port on Cape Cod.
From downtown Boston, this sightseeing tour begins with a drive through Quincy and past Adams National Historical Park, the birthplace of two American presidents — John Adams and his son John Quincy Adams. Take in New England's beautiful fall foliage and learn about the history of this area from a guide.

The next stop is Sandwich, the oldest town on Cape Cod and home to the Sandwich Historical Society and Glass Museum, dedicated to promoting the town history of Sandwich, with a particular emphasis on the unique contributions of the glass industry to not only the local community, but the entire world. Check out the live glass blower and exhibits that showcase the creation and coloring of various types of rare glass. While in Sandwich, visit the Dexter Grist Mill, one of the oldest water mill sites existing in the United States today.

Further along, simply enjoy Cape Cod in the fall, one of the most beautiful autumn getaway spots in the world with its changing colors.
There will be time to purchase lunch before arriving in Hyannis Port, home of a memorial for John F. Kennedy. It was here that he spent many happy moments with family and friends looking out over Lewis Bay, where the tour continues with a narrated sightseeing cruise along the waterfront.

Finally, transportation to the original departure point concludes the tour.

Please note: This is a seasonal tour from September 15 to October 28.

Our tour guide, Brian, was very knowledgeable and provided great commentary on our ride to Cape Cod. Unfortunately, the waters were too rough for us to be able to take the ferry out to Hyannis Port, but we enjoyed the trip nevertheless.

Great trip. Our driver, Brian, alone was worth the price of of the tour. He was very witty, knew everyone along the way, extremely knowledgeable about the area and a genuine character. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a great experience. Oh, and Cape Cod was good too!

Our tour was one of the last of the season. It was a beautiful day. The driver Brian did an excellent job with his commentary, very knowledgeable. We saw all the sights, took the cruise and even had shopping time. It was a long day, but Brian dropped everyone off at their hotel in the evening. I really enjoyed my day.

Only thing that could have made this tour better was sunshine. Best clam chowder we had all week.
