An incredible experience to learn about Boston's history, culture, and food!

This was our first trip to Boston. We signed up for the five hour food and history tour to introduce ourselves to Boston. The tour was perfect. We learned so much about the people and history of Boston....where much of our country's ideas and values were born. The food was great and so much of it, I could not eat it all. I loved the cappuccino and cannoli we had at an old coffee shop in the North End. The tour guides were interesting and fun. I also think this tour is good for locals as well to learn details of their city! If you think five hours is too long (it went by fast), you always have the option to leave the tour when you think it is time or if you have other plans. I recommend this tour for food lovers and those interested in history!

Food was fantastic -got to experience some great, off the beaten path cafes, delis and pastry shops. Followed up with a very interesting history tour along the Freedom Trial. OUr tour guide was very accomodating and very knowledgable. Saw some very historic locations and entire tour was interesting. Great tour. I highly recommend!!

Even though this tour can feel long when booking the time goes by so quickly and there is some walking involved but there are lots of stops and breaks including so many food stops, all the food was so good and it was great to be fed along the way. We had Tim as our guide and he was fantastic so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Boston and its history we had no idea how much had truly gone on in Boston and it was wonderful to connect the dots of other walking history tours we had been on but this one had food so was way better. Definitely worth the price and is a great way to see some of the city and get some great food, recommendations and history. You will not regret going.

My husband and I were the only ones signed up because it was an very cold day. So we had a private tour with Sully. He was amazing! The food was incredible (fresh baked bread, cannoli and cappuccino, Italian sandwich and pizza)! After the food part of the tour we did the history part. It was very informative and Sully was extremely knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this tour!

I enjoyed this tour. Sully was a great tour guide; very well versed in the history of the area. This was my first trip to Boston and I learned a lot. My friend and I took the 5 hour walking tour which combined food tour and history tour. I didn't realize it was actually two separate tours combined into one, with the food tour being the first part and the history tour being the second part. I had expected food to be spread out across the whole tour but it was all in the first portion. Then we returned to our meeting place and picked up the additional people that had booked the 2 hour history tour portion. While my preference would be for it to be food spread over 5 hours, I understand why it's done like this and it didn't really affect my enjoyment of the tour. Unfortunately it rained almost the entire time and the rain got harder as the afternoon went on, so we were very wet. It was still fun though. I enjoyed most of the food. The pastry shop in the alley (Bricco's?) was great. We liked it so much that we went back the day before flying home and bought some pastries for the flight. The stop at the coffee shop where we got to be 1) out of rain 2) warm and 3) sit down was wonderful. The only food I didn't really care for was the pizza, but that's my preference, not a problem with it. It was great going in and out of the little shops in the North End. We also saw Paul Revere's house, Paul Revere statue, old North Church, Fanieul Market, Beacon Hill area and much more. It's a lot of walking but not at a fast pace. Fanieul Market was a disappointment but again not due to the tour. It's that I had imagined it as being similar to the great markets in London- SpitalFields and Borough- and it was instead modern stores and restaurants. And no place to sit. We went there after the tour to get out of the rain and almost all of the food stands were closed and there were no chairs or benches due to COVID 19; the only place to sit was outside in the downpour. Overall it was a very informative and tasty tour and Sully was very knowledgable and engaging.
