Explore Boston by boat with this cruise on the Liberty Clipper. Help the crew hoist the sails or simply find a spot on deck to enjoy the views. Your captain creates a route depending on wind direction, heading toward the outer harbor for a glimpse of Fort Independence, or sailing toward East Boston for views of the Charlestown Navy Yard, home to the USS Constitution.

    Check-in: Our check-in booth with large red signs on top is located across the street from Legal Sea Foods and in front of the New England Aquarium at Central Wharf in Boston.  The ships Liberty Clipper and Liberty Star depart from the docks next to the New England Aquarium (north side).

  • Children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • We suggest that you arrive 15-20 minutes before departure to allow yourself time to check in at the booth which is located on Central Wharf near the New England Aquarium (across from Legal Sea Foods restaurant). You don't want to miss out on the fun, do you?
  • Please advise at time of booking if wheelchair assistance is required. Our crew is happy to help get you onboard! Due to the nature of the vessel, we are unable to accommodate motorized wheelchairs. Surfaces are uneven.
  • Minimum drinking age is 21 years
  • Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately.
  • PLEASE NOTE: Once purchased, tickets cannot be refunded. Your space has been guaranteed at the event and the activity runs regardless of weather conditions. In the rare situation where the seller is forced to cancel the event, ticket-holders will receive credit for a future sailing. The Company reserves the right to cancel any sail for inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances. If the Company cancels your cruise, you may reschedule to another comparable sail or receive a Company credit, but no refund will be issued. Further, the Company may cancel any sail for a private charter in which case a full refund will be issued. The Company reserves the right to substitute vessels for any departure. For groups of 8 or more a 10% minimum gratuity will be added to your booking and you hereby authorize us to charge the gratuity to your credit card as an additional charge.

      My best friend and I came to Boston (from Seattle) to celebrate my 50th birthday and I have to say that going on this ship was the highlight of my trip! Having the opportunity to be out on the water on a gorgeous boat with super friendly crew members was so much fun! I learned a lot about the industry and couldn’t have enjoyed myself more!

      Beautiful day on the water. This is just a sail around the harbor with no historical facts or narrations - relaxing, just what we needed in the middle of a busy weekend. Captain Lincoln, Anastasia and Nico are friendly, outgoing, and answered any questions we had.

      Myself and my mother arrived late for our departure and missed our boat:( However, we called Liberty and the woman on the phone kindly got us on the next boat. We boarded the boat and were greated by Lincon and his amazing crew! The weather was beautiful so we had a full view of the Boston Harbour and all surrounding sites. Lincon was extremely accommodating and knowledgeable concerning all of the historical value of the buildings we passed along the journey. Highly recommend!

      Wonderful experience. My husband helped with the sails and loved being a part of it. I sat back and enjoyed the ride. Crew was great and interacted as much as you wanted. Plenty of beverages available. Niko was totally cool.

      Very nice outing but was disappointed that there was no narration of the harbor or skyline sites. As a tourist we looking to learn about Boston but this was just a boat ride.

Liberty Fleet does mention in the cruise description that these are not narrated tours and we always encourage our guests to ask the crew and captain if are questions about the sights to be seen. On the first Sunday of the month we do present a narrated cruise in conjunction with Boston By Foot. Perhaps you would like to give that one a try.       We had such a fun time on this boat trip! The boat crew was so nice and answered a lot of my incessant questions about how sailboats work, as well as letting me help pull one of the sails up. Fun! The weather in Boston during the summer is so perfect for a day out on the water, I promise you will have a great time and feel very relaxed afterwards. Note that this trip is more about relaxing and chatting with your friends/SO - it’s not a “tour” per say (no narration).

      We enjoyed the crew and helping to hoist the sails. One of the crew members gave us a history of long Island, spectacle island, deer island and the fort. It was a great sail and the captain was very engaging with all of us on the ship.
