We had a very pleasant trip on our New England Coastal Tour. The driver went above and beyond his duties, and we appreciate it. He was also very well informed and entertaining.

If you don't get picked up by the service (which refused to pick us up even though there was a pickup point less than 5 mins from our hotel that we were not told of), you are automatically in the back of the queue to board the bus. By the time we got on the bus the entire right side of the bus was full, so we sat on the left. We discussed with a group behind us, that it would be ok because we would go up the coast and back down so no big deal. That was not the case. EVERY single view and photo opportunity was on the right side of the bus. Therefore our entire journey was looking through others phones or heads and a completely obstructed view. I tried to find a number to call and discuss but to no avail. Our tour guide was nice, but I'm sorry I'm not there for him. I'm there for the views. The only ones we got to see were the lighthouse that was under construction (when we got off the bus) and the stop for lunch. Again, if you can't sit on the right side it's not even worth it.

Even though it rained most of the day, our driver kept us happy and showed us many nice places. And to go in October is just the right time to see the colourful Indian Summer.

My son and I really enjoyed the tour. The driver/narrator was very informative. We learned many interesting facts and got to see places we probably wouldn't have seen otherwise

I am happy with the tour. I am able to check out many towns along the New England Coastline. Cape Neddick is pretty with the light house. Kennebunkport is a pretty town with a lot of restaurants and shops.

New England coastal tour conjured images of travel and stops along the lovely coastline. Instead there were brief glimpses of coastline at 40mph and no stops or photo ops but extended stops at a tourist trap home store and produce stand. The only coast we actually visited was the lighthouse completely obscured by scaffolding as it was under repair(good point to know). It was pouring rain the day of our trip as well. A wasted day and money to see a sad glimpse of Maine. We took a train to Cape Ann-Rockport and Gloucester ourselves the next day for 1/2 money and saw the coastline and enjoyed the ocean.

This tour is well worth the time and cost, very organized and on time. Our driver, Susan, was great and the scenery was spectacular especially on the Maine coast. Kennebunkport was a lovely quaint town to enjoy lunch and browse in the shops.

This was among the highlight of our wonderful visit to Boston. We found it almost by accident. Our driver Susan was funny, informative, and very knowledgeable. We went very near the Bush family compound and spent a few hours in the town of Kennebunkport, a truly great, friendly tourist town. Also spent some time on the beach in New Hampshire. Make a point of adding this tour to your Boston experience.

After a frantic few days, my friend and I were looking for a more relaxing way to spend the last day of our vacation. I have never been to Maine and read some good reviews about this tour. Viator was a pleasure to deal with every step of the way, including patiently talking us through to the departure site, when we got turned around. The tour, itself, couldn't have been better. Our driver was excellent, smooth safe driving, warm and courteous, and a fascinating tour guide. He gave us plenty of insight into the history behind all the sights that we saw and knew when to sit back and just let us enjoy the view. And what a view! Magnificent coastlines, wooded areas, beautiful houses and stunning rocky beaches. The stops we made were well chosen and well timed. We were always able to enjoy ourselves, without being rushed. On the way home we asked to be dropped off at the Blue Line and were cheerfully accommodated. We finished the day feeling happy and peaceful. I recommend this tour absolutely.

The tour is very-well planned with enough time to enjoy the stops along the way. It is done at a comfortable pace that allows for enjoyment and relaxation. I would recommend to everybody who has an extra day to spend during a visit to Boston.

This trip is operated by Brush Tours. We would not recommend this tour until the company invests in new buses. We were collected from our hotel and taken to the Transportation Centre in Boston where we queued for half an hour. We were at the front of the queue. However, due to lack of organisation by Brush Tours, the bus loaded from the back of the queue and we then had very little choice of seating. The bus we travelled on was old, dirty and smelly. Hampton Beach, the first stop, was nice but half an hour wasnt enough time really to do anything. The Nubble Light stop was interesting. After that, the tour went downhill. The aircon failed and we made an unscheduled stop at York so that a replacement bus could be sent. York was not a very nice place. There was nothing to do and nowhere nice to eat or drink. We were told that the wait would be an hour but it turned out to be 2 hours. Had we travelled just a few miles further, we would have reached Ogunquit, which is a lovely place and far far nicer than York. When the new bus arrived, it was even older, dirtier and more uncomfortable than the original and there was no microphone for the driver to give his narrative. And, the aircon was even worse than on the original bus. We then drove to Kennebunkport but only had 1.5 hours there instead of a longer scheduled stop. The main point is that the buses need replacing but the whole tour needs a rethink.

Several pickup locations for convenience, this tour stops at several nice stops along the coast, but the bus does not drive exactly along the coastline. The day we toured was foggy, but it was still a nice tour. Abundant opportunity to shop and eat at the cute little local shops along the way. Our bus driver was great, narrating while we drove.

Add more time at Hampton Beach and less time in Kennebunk. Both are set up for expensive tourist-shopping but at least there is the beach at Hampton to enjoy. Nubble Lighthouse is lovely and worth a brief stop. Seeing the Bush house is anti-climactic it's on the end of a promontory and not well viewed.
Sam-I-Am, our driver, was fabulous! This was the first time he had done this tour but he was well informed, friendly and very professional.
As with any bus trip, the photo stops were few and far between, so many of the sights are hit and miss photographically. Still it was a very enjoyable day and I would recommend the trip overall.
Our only major complaint was they did not pick up at the Adams Inn as advertised. I had called Viatour before buying tickets to confirm pick up there and was told we would be gotten at 8:15 the morning of the trip. However, we checked in 24 hours in advance and were told we would have to go to another hotel or come into Boston to the Grayline Office. This cost a cab fare on which we had not planned. The hotel told us pick up there stopped LAST YEAR so much for up-to-date information.

Loved the tour. The service was great! Loved that they verified where and when they were picking you up prior to the tour. Would highly recommend - beautiful sites!

Had a great tour along the coast and our bus driver was very good and professional. The stops, including Kennebunkport and the Nubble Lighthouse were cool. One thing I did not consider was we went the weekend before 4th of July, so the traffic was incredible as all the easterners flooded the freeways to get to their summer homes. Other than that, had a great time.

Weather was excellent! Driver/Tour guide was wonderful and full of knowledge about the area. We had been on two other Viator tours the previous days and by far this was the best. Had plenty of time to shop and eat without feeling rushed. We chose to eat at The Pilot House and it was excellent. Janice our waitress was very good to us and told us where to go. The only issue we had was the air conditioner on the bus. It gave out and was a tad bit warm, but our driver did all he could to help us be cooler. Might be time to retire that bus!
