We were given conflicting departure locations so half the family were at the wrong place. Was not offered credit for a trip on another date. Expensive and disappointing.

The commentary was good and scones and tea were lovely. The cruise itself was just a little up and down the river in a very old boat and stopped at another place on the river. The 450mwalk was a little too much, with added stairs as well. The meal was lovely at The Breakfast Hotel. We chose not to go back on the boat but went elsewhere.

A relaxing Trip to wind down prior to going home

It was a lovely way to finish our Brisbane trip. A different view of the city via a river view. We wound down whilst on the river, especially when we went to lunch! The Hotel had history and was large yet personal. We had a lovely large fresh lunch and a beer, then wandered back for the return journey via boat. The staff were wonderful, fun and very efficient in serving the morning tea, and should your appetite be large for Scones, jam and cream there was ample for everyone. The commentary was good and gave us information that was unknown to us, so it was very informative. It was a great way to wind down after a few days, relax and then return home in a relaxed mood. Thanks!!

Lunch at Breakfast Creek Hotel is the best part of the cruise, However the walk from the jetty to the Hotel was a little confusing, I also escorted a couple in there late 70's that also found the trek a struggle and was not aware of distance of the walk. Stating to wear comfortable walking shoes is not very descriptive. Due to the weather conditions on the day, wind & water made the audio presentation near impossible to hear if sitting at the bow or upstairs, I did mention this to the captain however he seemed to be at a loss on how to rectify this.

Hardly needs research Allan! A short 450m stroll on a flat concrete path through the gardens of Newstead Park hardly constitutes a trek! You are provided a map with details of how to get there and when to be back etc 45min before you get off the boat so I am not sure how you got confused about getting to the hotel. Then again some people think that they know everything so why bother reading the detail we have taken time to put together for you. Hardly confusing even without that...walk around the corner and you can see the hotel. Good to see you have managed to incorporate a 3rd party (the most likely happy 70yr olds) into your tale of woe to support your day of misery. We take thousands of seniors on this trip every year and have groups from homes and seniors clubs. Many of these have walkers and mobility issues yet yours is the first complaint of this nature. I am sorry that you had such a major ordeal and your experience with this trek was too much... we would suggest that you consider eating in rather than venturing out for lunch.

Our group had a most enjoyable few hours cruising the Brisbane River, and with an enjoyable return walk to the historic Breakfast Creek Hotel for a scrumptious lunch in between. The commentary on board was excellent, and the morning tea served with scones with jam and cream was so lovely, and we must mention the wonderful lady who served us so efficiently and quickly. A fantastic trip and certainly recommended.

The commentary was good, morning tea was lovely and crew very friendly and very helpful. Lunch was great, the walk from boat to pub was hard for someone who would normally use a scooter, and you couldn’t take that on the boat.

A really delightful day! Informative commentary on the boat, delicious scones with fresh cream and strawberries, stunning views of the river. A short walk to The Breakfast Creek Hotel. Set menu for lunch included two options for vegetarians, which was nice. Overall, excellent value for money. Would highly recommend!
