Venture beyond crowded squares and Communist architecture to discover the Romanian capital’s quieter, Belle Époque quarters, where Old World elegance meets bohemian flair. Along the way, pop in to lively markets, specialty shops, and cafes to sample the best of artisan Romanian cuisine like goats-milk cheese, cured meat, homemade bread, craft beer, and Wallachian doughnuts.
  • Sample traditional Romanian peasant food and regional dishes like artisan cheeses, cured meats, sausages, fresh produce, and more
  • Sip Romanian craft beer and 'palinca' brandy
  • Includes all food and drink samples
  • Small-group tour limited to 12 for a more personalized experience

DANA our tour guide was exceptional, assisted us with every detail including a change of days for the tour. We got to see a lot of history in the Armenian and Jewish sectors and spent time in both market areas where Dana purchased cheese and vegetables for us to eat together in an area with lots of locals. The ruined bar was also a joy to visit. This tour is a must if you want to see Bucharest from a visitors perspective with a knowledgable tour guide.

This tour was so much in large part of our tour guide, Bogdan. He was super funny, provided a ton of info about Bucharest and made an amazing salad from the farmers market. He was so much fun my friends and I booked a other tour with hi. A few days later. If you love food, walking around citi3s and laughing then I highly recommend this tour. Make sure Bogdan is your tour guide too

This was such an interesting tour. Irena, our guide, was full of information about Bucharest, the architecture, communist era, and many other things. Our walk was punctuated by stops for coffee and food. We also visited and ate in a large marketplace. So much more than I expected!!

We very much enjoyed the tour by Lala. She was knowledgeable and gave lots of information about the districts we passed through, which are off the beaten track. The tour was the right length and the food was delicious. The market at Obor was a highlight.

Cristina was our guide. She was knowledgeable and gave us lots of information about the culture, the architecture and the food. It was just my husband and I and we felt that we not only learned and tasted many things, we felt that Chris went out of her way to make our tour enlightening and enjoyable.

I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for a behind the scenes view of Bucharest together with some great food. It was the best tour I took during my entire stay. Bogdan had a wealth of information to share about the history of the city and I walked away feeling like I knew significantly more about Bucharest than when I started - count yourself lucky if you get him as your guide. I recommend taking this tour towards the start of your trip to best take advantage of the background provided. Note that this is a walking tour, so be prepared to walk for a couple hours - you will be rewarded with fresh food from the market at the end.

Our guide, Dana, did a wonderful job giving us a behind the scenes tour of neighborhoods that are not part of the tourist area. She explained the many architecture styles and gave us a history lesson at the same time. Dana took us to several local restaurants where we sampled excellent local dishes and beers. I want to thank her again for making our first full day in Bucharest very special! ron

Boggie took us around the inner city streets for a fascinating city tour with interesting food stops to try the local delicacies. Love the sweet tomatoes and local beers and 'rocket fuel'. A great tour, great weather, great food, great guide. A fantastic 4 hours really well spent and very memorable.
