Our tour guide was very informative and also fun to have around. The bus admittedly was quite tight fitting so I would recommend that you get to the meeting point as early as possible in order to select good seats there are single ones on one side. The journey is long but worth it, just keep in mind that eating and drinking is not allowed on the bus so you have a long trip with short stops for wc/cigarette for those of us with bad habits drink etc. To be fair though our trip was booked for a Sunday, this means that locals tend to flee to the mountains over the weekend and so on Sunday late afternoon to evening the roads are packed coming back. We were stuck in traffic for about 40-50mins before the bus could actually move at a decent speed, so instead of reaching our finish line at 20:00 it was around 21:30. This was mentioned to us in the morning as soon as we got on the bus and our guide tried his best not to rush us too much but always mentioned it in case we forgot. There is always someone in a group that is in their own little world and time seems to elude them and meeting points may not mean anything, so basically I would like to conclude that whenever people are involved things tend to happen.. :p Overall loved the trip and our guide!
Great tour and tour guide
Fantastic trip taking in the castles and countryside of Romania! Our guide Serban was brilliant very knowledgeable and made the sometimes long drives between locations fun. Our minibus also had wifi which was an unexpected plus! Peles Castle is absolutely stunning and definitely worth the drive. There had been a lot of snowfall before our trip to Romania so the castle and mountains looked especially beautiful. After Peles we took a quick walking tour of the town of Brasov. We only had about an hour here and I would have liked a little more time to wander but unfortunately with the 5-6 hours spent driving throughout the day this isn't really possible. Lastly, we went to Bran Dracula's Castle. There's a short walk through the town and up a cobbled road to the castle. slippery when we went as there was a lot of ice. The castle looks a bit more like a fortification and isn't quite as 'pretty' as Peles but still definitely worth a visit. I'd definitely recommend this tour as you get to see a lot in just one day
Easiest way to see all the attractions if you don't want to drive.
Valentin was a great guide. He told us a lot about the history of Romania, gave tips on what to see in Bucharest, what to order at lunch, etc. You should be so lucky as to get him on the tour.
Awesome day! Fabulous guide. Peles castle is fascinating and Brasov a lovely little town Very picturesque.
It was a great tour with a lovely group. Our guide Alin was very helpful and polite, asking all our questions. The weather was good enough and the traditional was good even the restaurant service was very very slow. We highly recommend the tour as the company cares about not to make big groups and create a good environment for the day you all spend together. Very well done!! Merci :
Brilliant tour!! Our driver Andreas was great, full of information about Romania and the places we visited, we were taken to the front of the queues at both Peles and Bran's castle and had tour guides at both sites who were both great. We were also taken to a lovely Romanian restaurant and given free time in Brasov, the tour was perfect and fitted a great deal into one day, would not hesitate to recommend!
We had a full day visiting the 2 castles and the black church in Transylvania. The tour guide Serban Rigawas was knowledgeable, informative and very keen on his job. I would recommend him to anyone wanting to visit Burcharest and find out the full history of this unexplored wonder.
